People at the front desk were not very helpful, and seemed confused when i told them I had reserved online through Hostel World. Seemed like attending to their guests was a chore for them. Not a whole lot of info available on local tourist destinations and transportation like there has been at other hostels I've been to. However, very clean, well-kept, good internet, and excellent complementary breakfast.

This hostel is a great option for the small budget, with clean facilities, and great breakfast included. My only gripe would be the level of noise at night. My private room was directly off the common/restaurant area, and transit area for anyone coming and going. There is no way to sleep in this room without ear plugs. I managed to sleep well enough when I used these.

I marked "poor" for "value for money" since I could have found something for a lot less. I realized this only after I had arrived in Antigua and noticed that Antigua was chock-full of available rooms--private--for 12-13 dollars a night, even towards the end of holy week. I was stuck paying for a double room at $40 a night, since that was all that I could see available using hostelworld.com. Of course, 99 percent of the places there don't post online. Otherwise, the place was lovely.

Very clean and well kept hostel. The guy who worked the nights is particularly friendly and helpful.

In general terms hostel was fine. We had a private room way at the back of the garden which could have been nice except you hve to cross the garden to get to the bathrooms. Not convenient in the middle of the night. Also two of our three nights there was a lot of noise from other guests using the garden for a party. Sound insulation in Guatemala seems to be non-existent so it's probably not fair to complain about that. The breakfast was very good and included in the room price.

I loved staying here! Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful at helping me arrange a shuttle to the airport. They were even patient with my poor Spanish:) Also, the best breakfast I have ever had at a hostel..and i've been to many. Its also a very quiet plce for a weary traveller to rest, which is exactly what I needed.

Good hostel. Clean, safe and very comfy beds. Good free breakfast (you even get to choose). It was quiet so not great for meeting people but good for sleeping. The city is small so even though the hostel wasn't right in the centre it didn't really matter - only about a 10 min walk into the centre. Staff helped us book volcano tour. Would stay again. Cons: never had change for anything - very annoying!

Very very very relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for a quiet get-away! Staff were extremely helpful and nice. The daytime counter guy was really helpful. The night-time guy was quite friendly. The girls cooked pretty pleasant breakfast and always greeting us with smiles. Try to book the rooms in person, because the hostelworld rate is higher than the actual in-person rate.

We booked a cheap room and got a single bed for two persons. It was really really small ;) although i normally don't mid this kinda stuff as most of the time you will not be in the room, this was way too small. The walls were very thin, we woke up from every person walking in the hostel. The staff did not spoke any English at all but were always around for a safe feeling. The garden was the best of the hostel, large and with fruit trees. Great surrounding for the good and free breakfast.

The hostel is great, has a lot of character, and has excellent breakfast! They have an english speaking staff member during the day, which is very helpful. I was disappointed that they lost my reservation one night. I booked this reservation in person and saw them write it down, but somehow it wasn't there when I came in to stay a week later. Also, bring earplugs if you want to sleep past 6:30 AM. The staff is quite loud in the morning!

The environment and facilities were just average. But the staff was super helpful and really nice. A little pricey for the accommodations. I've stayed in nicer hostels in Antigua for less money. Breakfast was okay.

During the evening & nighttime there was always a friendly security guard who always kept the door locked. Wish there had been lock boxes for valuables, but I was able to leave my passport at the front desk overnight. Really nice breakfast in a pretty yard in the back included in the price!

This Hostel has the potential to be great. However it is VERY LOUD, and no this is not a party hostel. Guatemalans like to come to this hostel on the weekends and with very thin walls no one gets any sleep, except for the night man who sleeps up front. The building is constructed poorly inside so the walls are very thin. Also the breakfast area is right near all the room so you hear the comotion first thing in the morning. Hopefully they make some changes...
