Just a short walk from the harbour, the staff are extremely welcoming and really make you feel at home. Excellent value for money especially compared to other places on the island. Highly recommend. Only negative is the cold showers but we saw them as refreshing in the heat!

hostel is just a bit dated and needs to drop the price to be competitive with down town other hostels, lack of wi fi and air con is a problem, staff try their best

Beautiful place, with hammocks to rest, nice breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms may get a little hot, but there's ceiling fan. Bathroom is ensuite, but for 6 people, and there is no other toilet outside the bedrooms. Vanessa, São Paulo, Brazil

We felt very welcome by the owners and they made all possible to accommodate our needs and gave us useful tips about the island. Thanks a lot!! Personally I really liked the place and felt very comfortable. My only recommendation is to add one more bathroom and/or have less people in each room since it gets too crowded sometimes.

I had a lovely time here over Christmas. It is in such a nice place just a bit away from the town, and it felt very homely. Could not have been in a better place for Christmas. Neia is so friendly, and will go out of her way to make you feel comfortable. Not your normal standard hostel, stay here if you want something a bit different. Had a really good time here. You should know however, that the rooms have no air conditioning and it can get a bit hot & stuffy when it is hot outside.

This is very basic place. VERY BASIC. Should be called "The Jungle House", or something, so one will be more prepared. If you are in this type of accomodation then go for it. If you prefere luxury then stear away.
