Fun place to stay, but there's not a lot going on in the area. Great for a one night stay.

Very nice house historic setting . Very clean and tons of space to do alot of activites and the park is 20 feet from the frnt gated door . It's a great stay in San Jose also very close to Pedest. St. Very good people .

I enjoyed my stay at the hostel, the only thing I felt was lacking was good washing facilities. There is only one shower for all the hostel guests. When we booked a private room with shared bath we didn't expect to be sharing with 15 other people. I thought the laundry fee of $10 and use of a locker for $3 were both a bit steep.

I felt right at home at Case del Parque! I liked it so much I´m coming back for at least one night at the end of my trip.

Very friendly, and helpful staff. Located across from a beautiful park in the center of the city with lovely courtyard gardens at the hostel with a personal touch.

This place is like coming home for me. The staff are incredible people. They even took care of me while I was sick, how sweet is that? Great location, always something happening, hoola hoop lessons, family suppers, movie nights, monopoly games. It's a great place to be, I continue to return here whenever I am in San Jose.

I really liked the staff. They were all very helpful and accommodating. My room door could have been a little more secure. It opened easily despite the fact that it was locked. All one had to do was to push on it and it would open. It would have been nice if there were more than one shower. My biggest complaint is that WiFi did not work while I was in my room. I had to go somewhere near their "office" to use Skype. The kitchen was clean and the place was very nice, so I'd go there again.

The location of this hostel was amazing and the staff were really helpful. There were a few things that were odd about this place. Our room had no outside windows, only glass through to the reception area which was very loud. We selected the shared bath option, and the bathroom we were to use was accessed through the dormitory. Cleanliness was a average.

We booked a private room with bathroom as we were arriving late and leaving early. The room was big but unfortunately not particularly clean. The shower wasn't warm. The hostel, from what we saw looked good and the garden is lovely. The hostel is secure but the lock on our room wasn't good.

I absolutely loved Hostel Casa del Parque, the staff is incredibly nice, welcoming and helpful. It felt like home. The location is very strategic, we had a beautiful park right in front of the hostel, also two delicious restaurants on each side, and a taxi stop right in the front, which was very convenient. I would highly recommend this place.

Incredible hostel with an incredible staff!! Set in a beautiful house next to Parque national, you couldn't wish for more. Perfectly located a short 5 minute walk from downtown, a couple of minutes from the nacional museum, this hostel caters for both the adventurous and the chill types! The courtyard outback will also never fail to deliver a great evening full of conversation!

The deluxe room at Hostal Casa del Parque is such a great deal! The hostal itself is warm, beautiful, centric, clean and friendly. My favorite so far in my world adventures. Wish their was one like this in every country!

The best location in S. Jose, right in front of a beautifull park, walking distance to downtown S. Jose. . Beautifull colonial house, very tastefully decorated, plants and gardens everywhere. And most of all, VERY CLEAN !!!!

By far the best hostel to stay at in San Jose!!!!! Everything from the location to the extremely friendly and enthusiastic staff, this is definitely a very well maintained hostel, where the main priority here is making you feel at home, and stress free. In what I would consider to be the safest part of San Jose, this colonial style mansion is something to see, very clean and beautiful indeed. Thank You Hostel Casa Del Parque for a truly wonderful experience!

familiar atmosphere with great helpful staff, nice kitchen with all you need, great TV room, nice house with several private rooms and one big dorm room

No hot water. Only one bathroom for like 40 prs.. Privat room noisier than the dorm. Our private room has no electricity plug and no window. There was a big windowed door where the chek in desk as next. Very loud no silence. Bath room unclean. Dust everywhere in the room.

We only stayed one night in this very beautiful hostel and we only met Roger great guy working there very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay and when we go back to San Jose we'll stay there again for sure . Great job guys :)
