Just pay attention that they have a strict curfew. Other than that it was a decent hostel though they could definitely could use another shower and bathroom.

Disadvantage that there is only bathroom for the private rooms and the 12p dorm. So, always occupied and therefore very dirty. Sheets were also dirty when we arrived. The hostel charges you extra for everything; rent umbrella, printing, expensive laundry. Also a cat that is lying on the tables, kitchen and dorm-beds. They aim to be the #1 hostel in SJ, but they have a long way to go.

It was my 2nd visit and both times everything went very well. Lots of help from the staff and great interaction with people from all over the world.

Great hostel with a beautiful organic cafe in the court yard. San Jose felt like a little bit of a chaotic city to me and the hostel felt a hidden oasis. Will be staying here again.

Casa del Parque was a delightful little oasis in the middle of San Jose - I felt like I was coming home to a relative's house rather than cramming myself in to a noisy, dirty hostel. The staff were so friendly, the space was so comfortable, and the location was perfect! Thanks guys for giving me four great days in San Jose, Pura Vida!

Great place to stay, and the Driver Carlos is great! Very helpful people too. Onlt downside is it is far from the airport if you are going or coming, but on the flipside its close to downtown San Jose. Would stay again.

This hostel has a lot of character, it is situated in a mansion house and still has black and white photos of past residents dotted around the place. Our private room was clean, spacious and every care was taken within the hostel in terms of security. There was wifi/televisions/books/karaoke/baby chicks, I can't think of any other facilitates you could need. Everyone staying young and old were friendly and I would definitely stay again.

Hostel Casa del Parque is the best way of experiencing San Jose. First and foremost, the saying "mi casa es su casa" could not be any more true once you walk through their gates. The staff is great, the place is rad, the location is perfect, and they have so much more to offer. I loved my time there and the city wouldn't have been as great as it was if it weren't for this hostel. Pura vida.
