Staff were very nice and helpful. Biggest downside was having to put sheets on your own bed upon arrival. After a long day of traveling we just wanted to crash so that was annoying.

Had a great time and would definitely go back but the luggage locker was just a room which anyone could access. Otherwise i had a great time and will hopefully be back

Was only here for one night, would've liked to be able to explore it a little more. In a very interesting area which may not be to all tastes, but good location for train/bus stations. A former prison, it is good to see what it has become. Friendly staff.

The cell was quite dirty and the beds smelled a bit. It was quite difficult to climb to the bed and it felt like you could easily hurt yourself. Definitely not for older people.

I was in a room for 2 and said I'd be willing to share my room. I was shocked when my light went on at midnight, though, and a man was walking in! I think women are at risk in coed rooms for just two people. I sent the man away, and apparently he found another room. Also, I was concerned that i was required to leave my luggage in an unsupervised room for several hours.

Good Location within walking distance from the city center. Price of stay is too much for what you get in return. Not much of an atmosphere about the place. Satisfactory

The setup of the room was a bit unusual and problematic. I arrived late off a train, and after a creaking door and floor and trying to find a bed in the darkness someone woke up and told me I had to crawl over him to a bed that was inches away from his bed and had the roof sloping down in both directions so that my toes were touching the ceiling and a beam was about 20" from my head on the other end. Otherwise, it is nice as they go for a modern, aesthetic look, and interesting history.

Great location and the hostel staff was really helpful. The rooms are unique and the experience is great. The bathrooms could be better kept up but overall really good place to stay!

I ve been there when they are celebrating their ten yo.... That was a problem because then only payed attention to the guests for the party and the people who stay in hostel couldnt use the place properly, with bar and all the places woking to other persons. otherwise, the place looks nice.

It's a very cool and clean building, but it feels more like a budget hotel than a hostel.

I've been at hostel Celica about 4 times now and each time is great. I've traveled all around Europe and I'd say this is one of my top favorites. By far, it's the best in the whole country of Slovenia. The staff is friendly, the bar is decent, the food is cheap and good for a hangover, the location is in a place called Metelkova an alternative area where there is about 5 or 6 different bars where many of the college kids from Ljubljana go out to drink and have fun.

CONS: Dirty, crammy little room with no place to store luggage - not to speak of a personal locker. lots of holes in the sheets and linens, bathroom with no window. External weirdos who are not hostel guests roam bar and lobby area (I did not feel safe). No free early breakfast. Wifi only for one device, plus the Wifi is sh...ty because of many, confusing access points with bad reception. no wifi in the room. a lot of construction on the roof floor. PRO: former prison/metelkova area

Staff was excellent, as was the location - only about a five minute walk from the main train station. The people, also, who choose to stay at this hostel are incredible, unique individuals - great company. Rooms are a bit cramped, and the bathroom was dirty (7 people sharing the room). The beds on the end in the multi-person room are right next to each other like a queen bed, so if you are travelling alone, you could end up sharing a bed with a stranger in a mixed dorm.

The hostel is very clean, the location is just 5-10 mins walk from train station. Nice hostel, but I feel it's too commercial for me. Besides, there still should be a person at reception desk when they are doing hostel tour. For the security, they suggested me put my laptop at reception. I almost missed my train because I couldn't find any one to get my laptop back since the receptionist was have a tour with other guests.

Very good hostel !!! Funny concept, nice and warm staff and really good atmosphere in there. Bathrooms were ok, the dorm I slept in was really tiny, could have been a bit larger. Does not matter cause it is an amazing place you can go for it right now !!

Rooms are funky being an old prison but small... but that's not what it's about.. The street art/ scene is second to none.. Highly recommended

Very nice hostel. Close to the old town and train station. Kitchen might be a bit small. Still, highly recommended.

I really enjoy the city and hostel. Been there 3 times and stayed each time at the hostel. Was nice if you wanted to spend a few days in the area, or use it as a quick layover to somewhere else.
