Staff were helpfull, would've given them excellent facilities like they deserve but the phone wasn't working when I really needed it. Very big hostel compared to what I've been in but I enjoyed that change. Beware that the cell rooms are only small rooms not the big dorm I stayed in. No bunk beds which was a great change too. And they're is always something happening downstairs. Also they cook a great BBQ dinner

Everything you could want in a hostel and more! Clean, secure and full of character with a really knteresting alternative area behind it. 10-15min walk to the Old Town and adequate minutes from the train/bus station. Highly recommended although the wifi only works by reception.

Reconverted prison was not entirely evident except for only one aspect - inner doors with bars. The cell I stayed in was just a small room, without running water. I was unable to open or close the window since it was too high for me to reach. The food served was tasty.

I have stayed here several times and will stay here time and time again. When you know the natives go there just to chill out, you know you're onto a winner : ). Not your typical hostel at all. Recommend, recommend, recommend!

This is a really cool hostel situated in an old prison. It is quite vibrate with the unique design and art everywhere. This location is not for everyone; driving into the parking lot looked incredible sketchy, but this hostel was top notch, I would highly recommend it.

A very nice hostel a bit strange in the beginning with the bars of a prison but very gentle staff. We had a pleasant stay there!!!

Minor negatives: Internet is apparently not free, but the staff are quick to give out more internet vouchers and some of beds in the 2 bed 'cell' rooms are really difficult to climb up into and I dropped by phone several times from the top. This hostel is amazing though. Great location, very close to bus, trains and city centre. They organise great day trips too, food available and good. Some events in evening. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Despite it has a big fuzz about it, I did not think it was that special. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest I've seen. Activities are regularly organized, but not always worthwhile. Common area is nice enough and the direct surrounding area itself is quite special.

The room was like an attic, so tall people had to watch out for their heads. It's more a perk than an issue, since we've all chosen to stay in a ex-prision hostel. Only problem was one of the windows was broken in such a way that let the -2ºC air from outside get in. The staff gave us extra blankets and covers. The beds were very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was good (3 euro) and the bar was opened at night. Would definitely stay there again!

A unique hostel for its features. The neighborhood in which it is located is safer than it looks at first glance. It's as near to the train station as it is to the center. The security would be perfect, if only the cleaning staff didn't let our door open after leaving, but again, no issues. The staff ranges from professional and helpful to nice and lovely. There's a great "hostel atmosphere" in the air. The wi-fi signal was strong and fast, but accessible only from the lobby.

The breakfast was not included in the price. Some beds in the dorm were placed in such a way that you had to crawl over other beds to reach your own. The dorms were really small. No lockers in the rooms available. Other than this, it is a nice hostel

A great place. The room was a bit cramped with it's sloping ceiling and not much space for belongings but it was clean. The location is really good – only 10 minutes walk from the old town. There are also some cool bars behind the hostel which are pumping on weekends. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I booked a shuttle through the hostel to collect me and take me to the airport but it never showed. The receptionist however arranged and paid for a taxi for me which was really good of her.

A nice place with some charm and atmosphere. A pretty good place to meet other travellers. The location was actually quite far from the downtown and the rooms were crowded. I would stay in a room with less people next time.

Excellent location within 5mins walk to train and bus station. 24 hour reception and staff who are very friendly and helped us with all our queries. Interesting cell room with clean toilets. Also stayed in a 4 bed en-suite, again - clean bathrooms, hairdryer, no complaints, very good experience here.

Our family of 4 stayed in a quad room on the 2nd level. The room was really small with sloped roof and no space for suitcases. The shower curtain was too small resulting in a wet floor after showers. There was no daily cleaning or emptying of trash cans. The room had no windows, but two skylights that opened, good for ventilation but bad for noise. Our stay was during the week, and the noise from people partying outside near the hostel was tremendous, preventing sleep until about 5 am every night
