Would not even call this place a hostel, just had as many beds squeezed into the rooms as possible. Some beds only seperated by a sheet on a wire. Great if you want lowest budget accomodation. Is very far away from the town centre, quite a walk each day. We reserved a double room and we had to wait an extra hour after we got there because it wasnt ready, and when it wasnt, we wernt happy with it at all so did not even stay the 1 night when supose to be there for three. I would avoid if you can!

I gave it a 40% for cleanliness because I happened to get a bed with bedbugs... otherwise it is a clean place. they are trying to combat bedbugs, however I didn't get around to complain about it.. BUT, great location, nice staff. And the included breakfast is actually decent.

We were switched to the annex of the hostel prior notice. The hostel was nice and homey, and the kitchen was stocked for breakfast and snacks, but the location switch was rather unexpected.

Great location, close to downtown in a quiet residential area.

The rooms are not private - the 10 person dorm is actually a common area with a bunch of beds which is open to the communal kitchen. If you are staying in this room you will be woken up by people eating breakfast in the morning. I also left this hostel after 2 nights covered in bed bug bites. I would recommend staying in another hostel in this area.

Very good hostel, with a very friendly owner. They make you feel like home. If you are looking for a good and cheap hostel in Montreal, try this one. You have to experience it. Also there is a good free breakfast included in the price.

It was a pretty diffferent ex[eriance than from what i had with other hostels. To explain it, it felt like a hippie community :p. stay here if you don't care about personal space. I enjoyed the back portch and the location. will stay here again.
