Very cozy and intimate atmosphere. The staff couldn't be better. Very welcoming and easy going people.

I had a great time at Chez Jean! Jud (sorry I'm not sure if that's how you spell it) and Jean are great! Always ready to tell a joke but also, always keen to help!

This hostel is perfectly located for all of your Montreal Plateau needs - shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants, parks. Everything is within walking distance. Jean is a really friendly guy, too!

bed wan't so comfortable, but other things were good.

This hostel is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you gonna get.. One night I slept in a very small room with my friend in the same bed with 2 other people in the same room. And this is not what we booked online.. The other night we move to other room that was better. There are bed everywhere!! People sleep in the hall!! If you are coming with friends and you got a room together so its a nice place, if not.. Too bad.. I prefer to go a place I know what I'm getting for my money.

Cette auberge est parfaite pour des jeunes et moins jeunes qui veulent se sentir chez eux! Ici la proximité est grande entre tous les locataires, mais c'est ce qui fait tout l'intérêt du lieu! On a l'impression d'être dans "l'auberge espagnole"! L'endroit se démarque de tous les autres, si vous voulez une auberge originale, accueillante, celle ci est faites pour vous!

I liked this hostel very much because it is very small and familiar! It isn't like a hostel in the common sense it is more like a big family! I will recommand this hostel to everybody :-)
