Our original plans were only to stay in Dubrovnik for a couple of days. After a warm welcome and intro to the town from Neno, we decided we'd need more time in Dubrovnik. Neno treats his guests like family and made our stay really enjoyable, so much so that we decided to end our time in Croatia at the hostel. Thoroughly recomend this hostel!

loved this hostel. the owner, Neno was so nice and friendly. he welcomed all his guests to his hostels like they were his friends. the hostel itself was very clean. it is kind of down in like a basement so there are no windows but it was well ventilated. excellent location only minute walk to Pile Gate and the old city. i would totally recommend this hostel to others visiting Dubrovnik

The hostel is located just outside the old town (30 second) and very convenient! It is located in the base floor without window but the ventilation system is good, so you do not need to worry about the quality of the air.

Neno the host makes everyone welcome at City Central, and has time for all and any questions, offering tips and local insight into Dubrovnik. The hostel is ideally located just outside the Pile Gate to the Old Town and provides peace & quiet very close to the action. The little bay out the back of the hostel (50m walk) is also a very nice spot to enjoy a quiet beer or a lovely sunset. Had a great time in the hostel and met some good people. Would highly recommend. Mark, Perth WA

Great location, top spot to explore the city and to meet people. Not for partying inside the hostel but there are nice spots in walking distance so never mind. Neno is one of the most skilled and helpful hostel managers I ever met. Whatever is the issue, he knows the answer to every question backpackers have, he gives support far beyond the basic expectations. Was a pleasure to meet him and the other people in the hostel

Great location! The owner, Neno, was super friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Good-sized free locker (with lock) included. There are no windows but I actually preferred that because then it was also very quiet. The shower and WC could use some improvements but they were sufficient. Kitchen has kettle, microwave, and basic dishes but no stove for cooking. I would stay here again because Neno was such a good host.

Nice owner who turned half his apartment into a self-contained windowless hostel below street level. Quirky, fun place to stay but be warned... Hostellers are provided with a key for the only door to the street which is kept locked and the owner didn't seem very concerned when I initiated a conversation with him about the potential for disaster if there is ever a fire. People could die searching for keys or trying to unlock the door.

Neno is great and friendly. He's very helpful with suggestions on things to see, great eateries, culture and life in Dubrovnik. He also ensures the hostel is comfortable and convenient for all. Most of all, the location is perfect! Thumbs up!

Located just outside the old town walls (but only a two minute walk to the main gate) and better value than the hostels in the old town. Neno the owner makes you feel very welcome and has all the information that you could possibly need about Dubrovnik . Curtain to get changed behind in the dorm is a nice touch. It's quiet at night unlike the oldtown. The only negative thing is that the showers are a bit cramped but that's not a reason not to stay here.

Neno was a great host. Perfect location, right next to the Pile Gate of Old Town. This is not a party hostel, but really close to a bunch of bars in Old Town. Neno made it feel like I was staying at a friends house more than just a hostel. Looking forward to the next time I'm in Dubrovnik to stay here again.

Fantastic Hostel. Great location. Hostel owner Neno is a great host and dedicated to us so many times and explained everything that was important to see and visit in Dubrovnik ( bars, restaurants where local people eat, the best places to see, the sunset, bays that you can not find on the tourist map, etc. The Hostel is very clean and pleasant, sleeping is great and there is no noise from the street. I definitely recommend this Hostel. Thanks for everything.
