Hostel Colonia Reviews

The staff here were wonderful. It is very close to the station and the old town. The free bike hire was a great bonus which really made a difference to how much we could squeeze into our short trip. The courtyard and kitchen and communal area were all perfect. There are a few downsides though. The room was very cold we were kind of out of season. It was also noisy, and a lot of road noise, thin walls. My partners feet dangled off the end of the bed. Bathrooms and breakfast good. Overall good

This hostel has a good location and a really nice patio. Further than that, I wouldnt recommend it because I didnt feel save there at all. The front door is open all the time and sometimes theres no one in the reception so anyone could come in. There are no lockers in the rooms, only small safety deposits in the reception. The rooms have two keys each but you can easily enter through the windows which I had to convince myself of as one night all the keys where gone.

I was overcharged with the currency exchange and tried to explain but to no avail. Place is ok nothing special.

Tons of character, great use of the colonial building and very original. Though, because of this the facilities weren't the most updated or clean feeling.
