Umberto - the owner - is absolutely amazing! It was like staying in someone's home. The hospitality and care of the staff, especially Umberto, were truly second to none. STAY AT HOSTEL COLOURS, you will love it!!! The facilities are brand new and nicer than many 4 star hotels in which I have stayed.

Colours was a good hostel. Close to the metro and buses it is in a good location. The staff were great and eager to help. The rooms and accommodations were clean and comfortable. One thing I would suggest is to have a better kitchen facility for guests. A fridge would be great. An the showers seemed to flood or the doors leaked. Something got the floors very wet. Few complaints it was a great place and I'd stay here again.

The place is average. We stayed in a room that was recently painted and i think the hostel was inaugurated 3 months back. It was a bit cold at night, the heaters were on only from 4-12pm. Staff were very nice and quality of the beds were acceptable. We didn't know we had to pay 1€ extra person/night for tourist tax ... Milan is an expensive city so the price is quite honest.

This hostel is brand new, and so no all of the kinks have been worked out in its operation. Umberto and his staff are all very very helpful and nice, giving great info and free perks like coffee. This place is clean, has very sturdy lockers They are very close to the Lambrate Metro Station which excellent for getting around the city. My only negative comment is the lack of a full Kitchen. Umberto expressed he wants to fix this. I think give it 1 year and this will be a top tear hostel. Nice beds

I cannot understand why the reviews of this hostel are so good. There is potential for the industrial, multi-level space to one day function as something cool, but right now nothing about it functions. Half of it looks like a construction site. The bathroom situation is a joke, you need a room key to access it, but there aren't enough keys for each person. Rooms are seriously airless. Breakfast is pitiful. No kitchen. Wifi doesn't reach rooms and common area shuts at 12. Pillows are flat rocks!

Great brand new, really friendly staff and family who run the hostel, really great spacious rooms, good breakfast, though better directions needed, check the website for better directions. Recommend this, easy and close to subway.

The staff was welcoming and helpful and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were calm. The place seems unfinished though, and maybe slightly disorganised. Also, we had reserved in a 5 person dorm, but were placed in a 6 person (which is fine, only we had paid more to be in a 5 person dorm, which was unfortunate).

This hostel is new, they're arranging things and making improvements. For me it was a great experience, great room, nice staff (especially the brazilian guy That help me a lot). The location is less than ideal, but it has metro station nearby. I would stay here again, they could buy computers.

Do not follow the directions on hostel world because they are terrible. use google map or you will be walking around for an hour like i did. The showers do not drain very well. The man who owns the place does know the city very well but the rest of the staff seemed clueless and had limited english.

Umberto was so helpful and welcoming! He and Rafael made our stay at Hostel Colours and our visit to Milan truly memorable and fun. They were very knowledgeable and showed us the best, hidden restaurants in the city. Would highly recommend!
