Hostel Continental City Centre Reviews

Great Location, close to the Central Station, the sidestreet where the hostel is located gets quite loud at night. But we had a nice room, which got cleaned every morning.

If you are just looking for a place to spend the night after party, this is your place. It has a great location (about 8 minutes walking from the train station) and our room had a great view. The room was very small and clean, and the bathroom is shared but it suited very well our needs.

Great Location!

My partner and I booked a Twin room for five nights here. Apparently a 'Twin' room means bunk beds in Amsterdam. This was a bit of a surprise to us, but we were allowed an upgrade to a room with an actual twin bed and a private toilet for an extra 80 Euro. Overall, you get what you pay for at the Hostel Continental City Centre. Don't be surprised when you're forced to kill a cockroach or two during your stay.

The hostel locates near the center of red light district and train station, so it is very convenient for us to travel. Staffs are so friendly and very supportive. Moreover, because of late train, I emailed to notice them about our late arrival, they response the email very quickly and willing to save a room for us. Except the stairs are so narrow, my trip mate found it so difficult to carry our big suitcases by himself to the third floor, other things are good.

Excellent service fantastic staff very friendly rooms are nice and clean a little on the small side but I believe that is normal for Holland.

excelent hostel, clean, good rooms and bath and toilet in sity center. I was very satisfied with the hostel . Highly recommended.

If you want somewhere cheap and basic in the centre of Amsterdam this place is perfect.

The only staff member wasn't too friendly, there was mouse droppings in the room, the beds were tiny, there was a hole in the wall, the window wouldn't shut properly, shower/ toilet wasn't too nice or big enough, stairs too steep and little steps and it cost €5 to leave your bags behind reception.

The location is excellent, walking distance to all Amsterdam has to offer, price is a bit high but with the location being so good it is what you would expect. will definitely return :)

brilliant location, cheap price, so don't expect frills, there aren't any. no common area so you won't meet fellow travellers either.
