This hostel has a great location - close to all you need, buses and metro to all the touristic spots of the city, supermarket around the corner and Copacabana 3 blocks away! It is a really clean and safe place! It feels more like a hotel than a hostel because you have your own privacy - own bathroom and kitchen. Though, be prepared, the kitchen is not really meant for cooking, I guess..one little pot, a few glasses and no detergent to wash the dishes..kind of strange. Otherwise, highly recommended! This hostel has a great location - close to all you need, buses and metro to all the touristic spots of the city, supermarket around the corner and Copacabana 3 blocks away! WORST hostel ever! VERY loud and noisy, making it hard to get a good night’s rest. Since when do you need a telephone card to make local calls?? That's some BS!! >=( The staff is horrible -- VERY unfriendly, unwelcoming, and unhelpful. All they do is watch movies on the internet. The owner should be ashamed of that kind of customer service.WORST hostel ever! VERY loud and noisy, making it hard to get a good night’s rest. Great hostel. Our room, booked for 4, had two rooms, 6 beds total. Tiny kitchen with oven. Good for short or long stays. Staff is very helpful. Free internet. Meet other travelers by the computers. Rooms are huge - esp when sharing between 2. More like decent apartments. A hotel feel though and rather than a hostel - not really a place to meet new people.Rooms are huge - esp when sharing between 2. More like decent apartments. It was very noisy especially sat morning as they prepared for the local market.
There was no bar or real common area to meet or socialise with other guest.
There was also no control on the amount of noise that guest were allowed to make during the night. It was very noisy especially sat morning as they prepared for the local market.
