the building site downstairs didn't help to sleep in the mornings as builders starts their work every morning at 7:30, so forget about long lay ins in your bed, at least until they finish that

This is the most terrible hostel I hv ever been. The room is smelly and the toilet is very small!!also, the stairs re very narrow and deep, it is impossible for a girl to carry a big luggage to go up and down the stairs. It is really very dirty and old, no service and no facilities at all!! Wifi did not work at all!!I won't stay in this hostel even no fee is needed.

the best part about this hostel is that is is connected to a waffle and crepe shop. The stairs are crazy steep walking up, which is kinda fun. Its pretty run down, but good and cheap and they have lockers for stuff and you can put your important things in a safe downstairs for free if you'd like to.

Very unclean, small rooms, stairs so steep its like walking up a ladder, and overall expensive. Staff were very helpful though and spoke great english.

This was officially the worst hostel I have stayed in in my 3 months of travelling. Mould & filth on walls;toilet unusable;shower too scary to enter;sheets and pillows stained;every time we came home someone else was claiming our beds;money stolen;dirtiest conditions I've ever experienced! By the end we did experiments of leaving rubbish around to see if it was cleaned up during our 5 day stay - it did not. How this place is open is beyond comprehension!

After reading some of the reviews on here and other websites I was braced for the worst. It was pretty damn grotty, but not awful. There was blood on the walls though, and one morning on the stairs too. I just kind of didn't sleep next to the wall but I imagine some people would be a lot more freaked out by that. The stairs were bad but I think you will find that most buildings in Amsterdam have stairs like that. The waffle shop underneath was AMAZING and the highlight of the trip.

There is no breakfast as stated. You can buy hot water for tea and coffee but is costs 2 E. There were several loose sockets on the walls with wires hanging out. This was mentioned to the owner but he did not seem to be very concerned. Potentially very dangerous. Cheap but very basic

This hostel was a joke, we went out for two hours and by the time we got back our things had been stolen. Good thing all our important stuff was in our pockets and theirs very little the management done. Their was no lock in the first room we stayed in so we got moved the 2nd day to a room with a door that fell off when we tried to open it so had to sleep with no door, and the the management tried to blame us for breaking the door. the plus is the waffles downstairs and the location.
