This is a great hostel for meeting people, highly recommended for anyone traveling alone or groups looking to make friends. Facilities for making food were provided and better than I found in many other hostles and for the price charged you couldn't find a nicer place.
This place was incredible value for money! Breakfast was spot on and varied, rooms were huge (in a good way). Kitchen facilities had every appliance you could think of and stuff you didn't even know you would want. Showers were very pleasant and the staff were absolutely awesome! Location was a bit out of the way but 9 stops on a tram to the centre (Alexanderplatz) isn't a huge problem. Would 100% recommend.
It was not actually much vacuum cleaned (in dorm) - that is the only one aspect. All other things were good or excellent:)
I never leave comments for hostels but this place was great so I will 😊 The staff were great, especially the Polish woman who was on reception most of the time I was there - super lovely! Helpful at looking up anything you need to get to or suggestions of things to do. Great to have breakfast included. Very easy to meet people here - lots of other solo travellers. Good bathrooms also. Thanks guys!

It was a nice hostel. you will easely meet people and do something together. the breakfast is goodand even included in he price. it is a bit away from the centre and bars en clubs. but easy to go by 24/7 trams / metro. There are nog many toilets and showers. 4 toilets and 2 showers for 24 people. staff is open and try to help most of the times, except for transport.
Had an amazing stay here. For several reasons. Met great people, slept very well. But most of all, the receptionist Diana made our stay so much better. She is extremely nice and very easy to talk to. She can give you advice about almost anything in Berlin. Thank you Diana for making our stay so great.
There is a kitchen but no stove top so if you want to cook pasta this is an issue. Makes up for it though with an awesome free breakfast with yoghurt, bread, ham, cheese and jam/spreads, tea/coffee etc. right next to a tram stop to go into the centre, super easy..plus you can buy daily transport tickets from the hostel. Good wifi as well - works in the dorms. Would recommend!
Lady at reception with blond hair was incredibly helpful and friendly! Great location, easy tram ride to the city centre. Has a kitchen, clean - v clean! , met some great people here! Will definitely return!
I had a fantastic 3-night stay at Hostel Die Etage East. The neighborhood was quiet and easily accessible, despite being on the outskirts of the city center. The rooms, showers, and lobby were all clean and well maintained. Above all, the staff was phenomenal- friendly, helpful and outgoing. I made great friends with Diana, the evening receptionist, who made sure that all had a fun stay. Breakfast was a bonus! I definitely recommend this hostel while staying in Berlin.
A little bit out of the city centre, but still quite reachable. The best atmosphere I've seen in any hostel so far. The beds are a little squeaky and you have to hold the shower head yourself. Good breakfast, especially considering the low prices.
Staff was wonderful! They have a good free breakfast. Internet is so good there was a guy doing fancy online games for hours and I could still watch videos. There's a lake nearby where you can swim and be a beach bum. I chose this hostel w the father out location, thinking it'd be quiet, but there's a double tram line on the front street that runs every 15min for 20 hours a day. It's very loud. Other than that, perfect.
We really like the hostel,is clean safe, the staff was very helpful and friendly (thanks girls 😉) and the breakfast was amazing.
Good Atmosphere, helpful staff, good sleep!

Had a really good stay here. The best thing is the free breakfast! The room we stayed in was a good size, just the bunk beds are so loud!!!!! We had a great stay though :)
I had a great experience staying here. The location is convenient, not too far from the city center. Good value for money. The lady at the reception was especially helpful which I thought was a nice touch; she not only pointed out areas of interest for me on the map but also told me how to get there exactly. She also told me about places that would escape the average tourist, which I appreciated very much. She was very nice and accommodating.
Very good atmosphere. Free breakfast was a plus with a large selection of meats, breads, yogurts, coffee, orange juice and much more. Met some awesome people and stuff was very helpful. Would recommend to anybody traveling in Berlin.
And exceptionally good cheap hostel. The free breakfast was really tasty (meat, cheeses, breads, jams and Nutella). There was a kitchen and many bathrooms on our floor. The shared kitchen was also a good place to meet people! The staff were very helpful. It was a couple stops outside the city centre, but it was also closer to other cool parts of Berlin.
Staff is super nice and are very helpful in informing you in what activities you can participate in. Because it was small, it was easy to make friends to go out with.
