The location could be better, You need to get there by tram, so getting back from going out in the middle of the night can be hard. The staff was great, we met one of the staff members at the tram and since we were going the same direction he came along for a while. There is a kitchen, but the stove was out of order, so the only thing we could use was the microwave and the toaster. Also the other guests apparently did not feel like washing up their dishes. Other than that we had a very nice stay
the kitchen facilities was a disgrace!! the stove/hob was not functioning a sign that read ''please dont use stove as it may cut out electricity on the fist floor'' was placed on top of it. there was no other sort of replacement, only a mini oven. the kitchen was also filthy and poorly equipped. there was no holiday or hostel feel to the place at all.
Despite reception not being open when we arrived, Hostel Die Etage East provided a pleasant stay. My room of six beds only had me and one other person in it. It was quite peaceful :) The location wasn't bad, either, and it was good value for the price. I'd definitely recommend this hostel to friends.
The hostel was very good, the staff were very helpful in relation to recommending places to go and things to see.
