Hostel Elf was a great place to stay in Prague! It had a fun atmosphere to meet other travellers and everyone was so friendly! The staff were very helpful and there is a bus stop right outside of the hostel. There are not a ton of plug-ins in the rooms, so many of us hung out in the common areas to charge devices and use the WIFI, as it also did not work in the rooms. Not a big disappointment though, as you always have other people to mingle with!

Staff was competent and helpful. Apparently the back gate to the park and skywalk is locked at night. It would be very helpful to have a sign both going in and out saying what time that gate gets locked.

We stayed in October... so wasn't in peak season, but the atmosphere was still good! Definitely one of the cleanest hostels I have ever stayed in.. and the staff were extremely helpful. They gave us towels on arrival (we requested) and the bathrooms, rooms were exceptionally clean! The hostel isn't central - 15 minute walk from the train station (30 minute walk into central) but city breaks are all about walking and seeing everything! Can imagine it is amazing in Summer!

I wouldn't stay here again if I came back to Prague. It isn't that bad but there are other hostels that are much better.

Hostel ELF is a great place to stay in Prague. The hostel has free breakfast, wifi, a kitchen and some computers to brows internet as well. The staff were very helpful. The cleanliness was fine. The location is a brisk walk away from the central station. But there is a bus stop just outside which gets you to Florenc metro from where you can take a metro to go to Old Town Square. I really liked the vibe here and would like to stay again. A great place at a reasonable price.

Great atmosphere! Around a 20 minute walk from the centre of old town but very close to train station. Clean facilities and great dorm room. Would recommend!

For plus - unique athmosphere in big old 19 century house. Nice and helpful staff, short distance from most intresting places. Simple but tasty breakfast, clean rooms and 3-person bed in 2-person room ;) For minus - surroundings are considered to be not very secure so watch out tour belongings, due to building type - windows may be hard to operate, also you may expect spiders in bathroom, but they are not dangerous. Overall it is great starting point full of young people from everywhere.

I really enjoyed Hostel Elf. It was cosy and the area out the back made for a very fun and social environment. The wi-fi and bathroom facilities were also very good. The only drawback was the female staff. They weren't very nice, hardly smiled and charged me the equivalent of 10 cents for a print out (why). Anyway, Anza the late night dude made up for all of that - legend!

Hi, we print boarding passes FROM Prague for free. You probably asked to print out boarding pass from another town so that is the reason..Hana ( hardly smiled ugly bad girl ).

Located about 20 minute walk from the old city. Lots of cool little bars just around the corner from the hostel. The rooms were enormous with a table in the middle of the dorm and big lockers. Great hostel to meet people in and the staff were awesome. The dorms were very separate from the communal areas so when you're done partying its easy to get some sleep. The free breakfast was fantastic too.

Great hostel, great people, great location. My only complaints were that on the main floor the hot water ran out sometimes, but the second night I went down to the lower level and used the showers and there was plenty of hot water down there. Another major complaint is that the toilets smelled bad, if you could throw some air freshener blocks in there, that would be great. And what's up with that toilet that has a window that opens up onto a concrete wall? That smelled bad also, like mildew.

Such a good hostel for solo backpackers wanting to meet people! There is a deck with tables that everyone sits at to pre game at night, such a good place to mingle and have a good time before going out! The staff was also really cool. Highly recommend! Nice kitchen facilities too :)

Very loud doors. Very hard to sleep with people opening and closing doors all night. Staff refunded me 10euro after I complained.

This was a good hostel especially if you like to drink cheap beer into the small hours. We were a bit square to appreciate this to the full extent, but the staff were friendly enough so that we weren't intimidated by the too-cool-for-you patrons. The kitchen is good as well - some hammered guy outside our room at 2am loudly seconded this opinion.

I loved ELF! Great vibe, cool staff, and fun free BBQs. Also really nice, comfy rooms with super clean facilities. The location is pretty blah, but there's a bus stop right in front and it's not far from the subway. Thanks for the good times!
