Woman was grumpy and unfriendly when we arrived at 7am after a night bus. Made us wait 30 mins before telling us our room was occupied, wasting our time. The \'swimming\' pool looks nothing like the palm tree furnished oasis shown on the brochure, but more like a toddlers paddling pool which someone decided to cram in at the far end of a concrete patio. If you are planning on doing any washing here then you may need a few days and a bit of luck - the lone washing machine is in constant use

All in all it`s a nice hostel, we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is friendly and rooms have a TV. Exellent budgetoptin. Sole grano salis is: the bathroom is so small you cannot move and the shower is fixed on the wall, so that you can`t take a shower without inconvenience.

Hostel bem simples, mas muito bom... Taça de vinho grátis todos os dias... O staff é um pouco despreparado para os passeios nas viñas...

Hostel Emperado was a good place to stay -- not excellent but definitely good. It was relatively clean, not too far from the city center, the staff - for the most part - was really, really nice and you do get a free glass of wine everyday! The beds were slightly uncomfortable -- I wouldn´t have wanted to sleep there for more than a few nights. Overall though, it was a decent choice and the price was definitely right!

An excellent hostel, one of the best we stayed in in South America. Staff were very friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Rooms were good value, good kitchen, common areas etc, and the weekly bbq is great for meeting people.

Some cool hangout spaces. Staff was helpful. Had some computers with slow internet but internet all the same. Room not out of the ordinary, clean for the most part...trash not emptied from last guests. Free breakfasts (breads, coffee, juice) were much appreciated. Clean open kitchen too if you like to cook. Courtyard for asadas or to hang out. Nice community feeling. Conducive to meeting people and chilling. It was good overall. Immediate area a bit sketchy at night but hostel is quite secure.

We really liked the area that the hostel was in with trees lining the cobbled streets. The facilities were fine and it was quiet and peaceful in the evenings. The breakfast was average but it was great to wash clothes for free.
