Very helpful staff, great breakfast and very comfortable place to stay with several spaces inside and out for socializing.
Excellent breakfast! Nice and helpful staff. The rooms are okay but the upstairs were covered in leaves because some windows and the door to the balcony were left open. Downstairs bathrooms were lot nicer. Big common areas, easy to meet people. Some noise but nothing major. Overall, value for the money.
Great breakfast , good atmosphere and great for meeting people -free wine helped, staff were very knowledgeable and helpful I would definitely stay here again.Activities through the hostel were fantastic we went on the horse riding and our guides Franco and Maxi were really fun and made it a great afternoon. The only minor downside was the wifi which still worked but could use an upgrade. Overall one of the better hostels I have stayed in.
Good hostel, if slightly further out from the town centre (about a 10 min walk). Breakfast is amazing (they'll cook you pancakes and omelettes) and happy hour of free wine is also great. Showers are average, but the rooms, kitchen and social areas are all good.
A very enjoyable stay, great atmosphere with lots going on and a decent breakfast. Thank you! (only disappointment was the empty pool!!!)
Fantastic hostel. Ana was wonderful. All staff were helpful. Best free breakfast in South America. Free wine at night. Had great fun playing football with the staff. Will be returning in October! Only area for improvement is showers are not very good, hard to control temperature and not much water pressure. Apart from that - perfect!
The location is the only issue and that's just because it's one of the furthest north from the center. The access to everything is easy in the city and the breakfast is great! Also the free wine hour and the various events are a must do.
Warm staff and great breakfast. Located a bit far from the center of town, but that makes it a bit more peaceful. I would recommend to couples or travelers trying to rest up. Staff was average, but the breakfast lady was so awesome i bumped them up a rating.
Breakfast is great, tours are good and easy to arrange, free wine is nice, rooms are ok, everything is cleaned daily, free washing machines are great, kitchen is nice but easily overrun with people, wi-fi is serviceable but not so great, good balance between sociability and not being crazy with drunken kids, patio and roof are nice, asado is death by meat, a good choice for mendoza and a good hostal experience overall, would stay again, wifi upgrade would be awesome
Very comfortable hostel in a quite neighborhood not far from the city. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and communal areas. Good facilities and lots of activities. Good breakfast with tasty crêpes and free wine every night make the guest to extend their stay again and again. Thanks for everything, we had a really good time!
The breakfast is the best. The lady is very friendly and she makes the best pancakes. The hostel is located a bit out of the centre, but definitely walkable, even for a female traveller at night. You just have to be a bit careful and not flash your phone and camera etc. the hostel itself is fine. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner and the dorms maybe need a bit of new paint, but overall it's ok. The free wine makes up for a lot of it! Good hostel, very friendly staff!
I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good. There is a lot of communal space.
this hostel was super nice, free wine, free grapes, great breakfast w unlimited eggs!!
Great breakfast Friendly helpful staff
I had such a lovely time here at the Hostel Empedrado! The only thing that was upsetting to me was that each room didn't have it's own bathroom. I'm not sure if the website was misleading or if I just missed it. Either way, I would definitely return here. It's a little bit of a taxi ride to get to the main parts of town but worth it with the lovely staff, comfortable beds, and great atmosphere.

Hostel Empredado is a good place for travelers looking for drinking buddies for the wine tours and other excursions. I found people though quite load in the hostel and the atmosphere not very respectful. Big plus was the breakfast which offered Crepes or scrambled eggs prepared by a friendly lady. Unfortunately the bathrooms were not so clean and very dispersed trough the hostel. I booked a horseback riding tour through with the hostel with Adriano which was loads of fun.
great hostel, free wine everyday, really good kitchen and the rooms were a good size and comfy. the breakfast was amazing, defo reccomend.
This was our second stay at the hostel. The breakfasts are great and we enjoy the planned activities (free wine tasting, Saturday BBQ etc.). We were very impressed with the service this time - we were scheduled to arrive at 5:30am and expected to wait in the hostel until the 11am check-in time. When we arrived our room was ready for us and we were able to check-in right away and get some rest. That was a very welcome surprise. The only negative is the blocked bathrooms (common and en-suite).

Only stayed here one night before meeting friends at Lao. This one is a little more party with lots and lots of activities for guests to meet people. I personally preferred the chilled out vibe at Lao but would happily stay at either again
