We booked for 5 days and we were glad we could leave on the second because the room is on the terrace and its receive sun all day long so its like an oven or a sauna. The air conditioner doesnt work properly and we tried to ask staff to fix the problem but they said it was already fixed. Everything on the room is old, ugly and broken: the roof has pieces falling down and the bathroom has sink and faucet broken. Staff are not helpful and are not kind. I think its the worst hostel I ever stayed.

regret that the efforts we make every day not serve anything because the only air cooled to 24 degrees. Amazing breakfast, pool, air conditioning in public areas and a fan in your room not counted in your evaluation. Maybe you should go to for your next vacation frezzer and put pictures on your walls with landscapes of vineyards in the summer. The antartida awaits

Excellent hostel, great staff with a wide range of daily tours etc available, free laundry, free wine, excellent free breakfast, and Asado well worth it.

Thank you so much for your comment. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay.

I really liked this hostel - free use of the washing machine, free wine in the evening, good breakfast, roof terrace and an excellent BBQ on offer several nights of the week.

We booked a private double with air conditioning but the AC didn't work. The hostel was aware of the problem but didn't let us know in advance and didn't immediately offer a discount. In general, the staff seemed uninterested in the guests. Our bathroom was uncomfortably small (practically impossible to sit on the toilet as it was so close to the wall), and the shower leaked lots, which made it quite unpleasant. The omelette and pancakes offered at breakfast were good. Dorms might be better.

A great hostel far enough north of the five main plazas to escape the awful business of the center, but close enough to easily get anywhere (we even walked from the main bus terminal). Excellent staff, plenty of common rooms to share with others or have all to yourself (the roof deck is spectacular at night). We met some great people here. Full breakfast, mostly self serve, with the option of having crepes or eggs made for you! The downstairs bathroom in the hall is the best. Would stay again!

A beautiful hostel to complement a beautiful stay in mendoza. The staff were incredibly helpful and the traveler's that pass through all have amazing stories to share.

A great communal area with a mini pool and many tables makes it easy to relax and recover as well as meet new people. The kitchens are well stocked, you can catch up on laundry and the wifi is reliable. The rooms are ok; all clean. The free daily glass of wine is a nice touch.

Nice place and a great BBQ!!!!

Breakfast is amazing, you can order a pancake or scrambled eggs. The hostel organizes a lot of nice activities such as an empanadas cooking class. Even better, there is a happy hour.....every day....with free wine....nice! You can also do your own laundry for free if you like.

Nice hostel, good friendly atmosphere and easy to meet and hang out with people in the big communal areas. Beds are comfy, and rooms a good size, although they were havin a few problems with showers and the mixers on the tap but that didn't matter too much. Free breakfast was great.

Many thanks for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. We try to improve the facilities all the time including bathrooms.

Brilliant hostel - we extended our stay here. Clean, great atmosphere, wonderful terrace and pool, breakfast was amazing. A short walk to the main square, lots of organised trips but also really helpful staff who helped us visit the vineyards without joining a tour (much cheaper!). Washing machine and area to dry clothes was really handy. An excellent oasis after many weeks whistlestop travelling!

The hostel was a pretty quintessential hostel. Young people, nice atmosphere, wine happy hour. Two kitchens, tv room, outdoor garden area with tables and hammocks, group activities. We stayed in a private room, which was small and basic. The bathroom didn't smell so good. We booked a hike with the staff person in the evening, and the next morning, the staff could find no record of him making a booking for it. She did try and find us something else, but it was disappointing.

Good hostel, great staff, many activities if you want. Best breakfast so far!

Stayed there only for two nights, which was enough. Uncomfortable beds and it gets really hot at night even with the ventilators on. If you pick the wrong bathroom you are gonna have a bad time. Only ups were the other travellers staying there, who created a great atmosphere and the breakfast was nice.

Loved my stay here! It has been my favourite hostel in South America so far because of the people and atmosphere. The wifi worked too, the showers were hot, the breakfasts great and the Asado BBQ was amazing! I would definitely stay here again.

loved this place. the outdoor common area was a easy and laidback place to meet fellow travellers. the free wine hour also makes for easy new friendships. breakfast was one of the best ive come across in south america, and arranging tours/excursions was made easy by the staff. i was also pleased to have the staff contact the tour i was on to tell me i had left my cell phone and that they had stored it safely for me! fond memories of empedrado!

Really happy, all was great.

The hostel was nice, but not outstanding. The building has nice terraces, friendly staff, decent rooms, good atmosphere, and nice location. My favorite part was the breakfast, very nice and crepes are wonderful. However, the room i was in didn't have an air conditioner, many of the outlets were faulty, and the bathrooms i tried had some faults. One had either scorching hot water or freezing cold, another i spent crouching down in tub because showerhead didnt work with warm water.

Fantastic stay. Very friendly and welcoming. Free use of the washing machine and wine happy hour was a super bonus. Staff invited us for breakfast the morning before checkin-arrived at 6 am off the night bus and then invited us to stay for free wine happy hour the day we left on the late night bus. Super helpful with information about Mendoza as well. Would definately recommend.......best hostel we've stayed at in the past 3 months!
