This is a great hostel! The best bit being the free wine happy hour every night. Not just for the obvious reasons, but it creates a really social atmosphere. Only downside was no fan / ac in the private twin room by the pool but this wasn't a huge problem. Very good facilities, roof terrace, free laundry etc and staff are very helpful. Highly recommend!
Super friendly and helpful staff. great atmosphere, met a lot of cool people from all around the world. best breakfast ever had while traveling.the shower were worm, very clean. one of the best hostels I stayed in.
Best hostel I have ever stayed at! The staff are amazing, from the moment we arrived to organising our transfer to our next accommodation in the wineries. Claudia makes the best breakfast crepes, and there is a great breakfast selection of boiled eggs, sweet and savoury breads, fruit, tea, coffee & hot chocolate. The hostel can be as social or private as you like. There is a free washing machine which we used almost every day it was such a luxury! Franco also runs amazing tours with the hostel.
This is a great hostel with a friendly, responsive staff.
Good fun hostel. The staff are very friendly and helpful because they tell you everything about the tours, book them and sort it all for you. The location is good because its a little walk from the centre so its quiet, but its still easy to get into.
I had a fantastic stay at Hostel Empedrado. The staff was extremely friendly and willing to help with planning your stay. The outdoor area was a perfect atmosphere to meet fellow travelers on down time. Lastly, the breakfast was very good and filling. Cecilia made delicious creps every morning. I highly recommend this hostel.
Amazingly helpful staff. Breakfast second to none
The staff was very friendly and helpful in getting us situated in Mendoza. The Malbec happy hour and freshly made breakfast were excellent touches. The facilities were generally very cozy but the bathrooms were annoying to shower in and rarely hot/adequate pressure. Also, towels we rented from the hostel had stains on them, the garbage in our 4 person room hadn't been emptied, among other little things. An excellent value for money depending on your priorities.

Nice hostel. I enjoyed the wine and the pancakes. Location is a little off center.
A very nice hostel in a great location. The staff were excellent as well and quite helpful. Would 100% recommend the Empedrado to anyone looking to stay in Mendoza!

claudias crepes con dulce de leche are wondeful, indeed however, we felt like in hospital or in prison in our room, but the other rooms might be different, as the hostels consists of two different houses around a nice (!) patio. in our room, there as only been a bed, a chair and a table. everything in white, the floor in red. no decoration as a sign of caring at all. the bathrooms smell strange and the cleaning stuff has always been placed next to the toilet which we found quiet desgusting.
This was without doubt one of our best hostel stays ever. Firstly, the staff - especially the lady in the morning - were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They have really thought of everything here, great facilities, clean rooms and common areas, and some useful extras like a free washing machine and a bus card you can hire. Breakfast is superb (Claudia's crepes are the best!) and the activities like the happy hour and BBQs are great. Stay here!
Hostel Empedrado is a great choice for those staying in Mendoza. Their staff is exceptional, and they go out of their way to make your stay special. The best parts are the complimentary wine at 7-8pm each night, and the extensive breakfast in the morning, including omelets and crepes. However, the rooms are intolerably hot; the private rooms have no A/C and I was provided with a dusty and loud fan instead. Fell ill as result.
We loved happy hour and your breakfast is amazing .. Staff was really helpful and friendly! We also loved the Asado- so we did it twice in our short stay. Absolutley recommendable!
Great hostel, nice kitchen. Had great time.
The best breakfast in South America, a buffet style, plus omelets/pancakes. Wifi doesn't work in all dorms which is a shame. Overall a really nice hostel!
Warm and very friendly staff, great breakfast (Claudia´s crepes filled with dulce de lece are delicious!) and they offer some good tours for friendly prices as well. Located in a quiet street, at about 5 minutes walking distance to the nearest big supermarket. To you first cup of good coffee (Havanna coffee bar) is about 7 minutes walking.
It's an alright hostel. The bathrooms are placed very sporadically which is rather inconvenient. Wouldn't recommend for any stays longer than 2 nights

A really great hostel. The perfect balance between being able to meet people and relaxed atmosphere. We did the wine your and horse trekking through the hostel both were excellent. Breakfast is fantastic, lady makes you pancakes and eggs! My only negative is when it was my birthday we asked for the 'bottle of complementary birthday wine' as stated online 3 times with no action! With all the wine tasting and asados we probably didn't need the wine anyway! Definitely recommend this hostel.
Very kind staff, best breakfast overall in south america so far, wifi works well, nice patio, you can even use the washing machine for free!! Highly recommend this hostel.
