Really enjoyed this hostel, you get a lot for your money (free use of washing machine, glass of wine every evening, big breakfast, free activities eg wine tasting most nights). About 35-40 min walk to bus station but only 20 pesos in taxi. Around 10 mins from town but only 1 block from supermarket and 2 kitchens to use. Could be a little noisy in the evening as rooms around the courtyard. Lovely staff - let us sleep in the lounge, until our room was ready, when we arrived at 5:30am

Above and beyond in terms of service. All around stellar team, friendly staff and great location. I couldnt have been happier with this hostel. Beautiful patio... Beds were comfortable. Awesome common areas. Incredibly clean. They even have free laundry!

Free laundry machine, just have to bring your own detergent was brilliant. Great breakfast! The only downside is that it is about 6 blocks further from the center than all the other hostels. Nice atmosphere in the hostel with plenty of activities to do every day and night.

Staff are very helpful.. its only a few mins walk from the centre but there is a massive supermarket beside the hostel so you can eat cheaply here.. the best thing is the laundry, you can wash your own so its very cheap!.. The pool is tiny but at least you can have a bit of a dip to cool off..

Good activities every night, easy to meet people, friendly staff. Sometimes had to wait ages to use the bathroom, rooms quite run down and lockers broken. Breakfast was good, fruit, cereal, pastries and coffee/tea, sometimes pancakes. Good cooking facilities but not enough fridge and cupboard space for everyone there.

there is just a only one weak point .. the localization.. although many markets near .. is far from the main street.. but the staff is very good.. gave to me some pretty good tips about tours .. the hostel is not huge but have many living areas and good kitchens..

We were very impressed with Hostel Empedrado. We ended up changing our check-in time twice, and at the last minute. We didn't know what to expect when we finally made it. We arrived after the grace period and our room was given away. The clerks were very welcoming, dispute our poor planning. They called several other hostels to try and get us in. We ended up a the sister hostel, Mora. Between the two hostels we had an exceptional stay. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate us. 5 stars!

We stayed over Christmas and had a great time. It is a big hostel but there are a lot of common spaces to relax or meet other people. The pool is really small but it was so hot that it was a nice to have. Free use of the the washing machine was really helpful. The hostel is located about 15 minutes walk from the main square. The staff was really helpful.

I thought the hostel was good in general with outstanding staff but I wouldn't recommend the double room I was in: the bathroom was to narrow for someone average size to sit properly and the shower wasn't correctly built and therefore the water would come out and spill over the floor.

Atmosphere wise probably the best hostel in Argentina!! What a nice place to stay. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the patio outside is a melting pot of cultures. So easy so catch up with other backpackers, enjoy a nice bottle of wine together and make plans for trips in and around Mendoza. It's a clean place, with a nice breakfast and a nice rooftof terrace. Free laundry is a bonus :) and a big supermarket nearby is also very handy. Keep up the good work!!

This is a really nice hostel, with lots of good common areas both inside and outside. There are 2 kitchens to use and you can do your laundry for free! Free empanada making class was really fun and we enjoyed the free glass of wine each day. The staff are very friendly and have lots of information on different tours and how to make your own way around the wineries.

I got a room size of my closet, without aircon, with huge fan taking most of the room instead - very uncomfortable. Bathroom was also for very small people only - If I had more empanadas this week I wouldn´t fit in anymore. Despite space issues - I guess you get what you pay for - I enjoyed my stay. Staff was lovely, they were very helpful when I had to find a place for another night - they booked me into their other hostel - Mora - and this one I loved. Overall - nice hostel, not exceptional.

This hostel is gorgeous! The staff were really friendly and helpful all the time. The breakfast was really good, they made pancakes with dulce de leche and gave you the opportunity to do your own eggs. The bbq was amazing, lots of meat and free wine all the time. The free city tour is, hmm..oook.. it could have included more walking. If you are willing to do the horsebackriding, i can tell you it is big fun. Even if the sunset wasn't really visible. So, in my opinion it's a good choice! Gracias
