It's the best hostel that I've stayed in Mexico. It's really like home,and I have a good break here.

We loved staying at Hostel Erni! Erika and Arturo were the most amazing, helpful and accommodating hosts. They talked us through our travel plans and allowed us to leave our luggage (under watchful eyes) and take a shower after a trip to Cañon del Sumidero even though we had already checked out! Breakfast was delicious, and in al, incredibly affordable given all the services they provide! I'd recommend them to anyone and will definitely stay again!

You feel at home in this hostel. The rooms are very welcoming, the breakfast is complete and delicious plus is different every morning, and the owners -Arturo & Erika- just live for their guests. We extend our stay one more day and will come back any time. Even if we didn't go there to 'make new friends', we got close to all the other guests, Arturo & Erika and their daughter.

This hostel was by far the best place we've stayed in so far in Mexico. Family run, Alturo and Erica looked after us is a dedicated and warm manner. Breakfast by Erica was fantastic!! Hot cakes, fresh fruit with yoghurt and granola, egg + spinach on toast...cooked with smile. Such good value for money. Great location, clean private rooms and a lovely rooftop to sit, drink and read. If I'm ever in San Cristobel again, would stay here. Thank you Alturo and Erica.

Great hostel. We stayed one night extra just because we liked it so much. Throughout plenty of backpacking, this place reminded me of having my one flat again. And it's so cheap. :)

Loved my stay here. It was more like a homestay, as mentioned in some other reviews. I loved the family feeling at the breakfast table and it was very easy to meet other travellers. The house isn't in the best condition, but that wasn't a problem for us. Had a couple of miscommunication problems, but nothing that changed my opinion of the accommodations and great service!

We have a great deal in the past 5 years and this hostel is the best we have ever stayed in! It is not a party hostel, but a hostel with a real family atmosphere, more like a homestay. Erika and Arturo are the lovliest people. They really care about their guests and always want to help if they can. They offer tours and other facilities such as dollar exchange. On top of everything, it is excellent value for money! I would recommend this to anyone.

Nice tranquilo hostel :)

This hostel is incredible value for money. The rooms are large and ours even had cable tv! The breakfasts were delicious and different every day, with lots of fresh fruit included. The staff were really friendly and helpful. San Cristobal itself was one of our favourite towns in Mexico so make sure you don't miss it!

This hostel is awesome!!!!!!!!!! The staff is probably the best I have ever met in a hostel (and I already traveld a lot!!!). It´s incredible how nice they are and how much they help everybody. You really feel like beeing part of there family while staying at there place!!!!! And the price is less than you can believe (and the breakfast really, really good!!!). I 100% recommend this place for staying in San Christobal!!!!!! AWESOME!!!

Erika and her husband are the loveliest couple! we arrived before 8am and they both welcomed us in and Erika cooked us a yummy breakfast with local spices :) Art gave us lots of information about what to see and do, and what food to try and managed to book us a tour to Palenque, agua azul and cascades which dropped us off in Palenque at the end that was the same price as the ADO bus one way would have been! the hostel is more like sharing their house but its great value for money!

Really nice place, Arturo and Erica really know how to make people feel like home. And you can ask about anything about anything and they will let you know. Breakfast is superb and location is great too, just few blocks from the main square. And the value is over the top. Can't complain about anything. Highly recommended.

Everything could have been perfect in this hostel if we were not forced to look for another one due to the other guest got food poison and occupied the room that we have already booked. The breakfast is great. Price is the best in town.

The hosts were wonderful, and their daughter really precious. A real "family" feel and tremendous value for the price, they really should charge more. Fresh, quality breakfasts, spacious rooms, would love to return.

Great hostel. A lovely Mexican family. They even cooked up whatever we wanted to breakfast each morning! Very homely and welcoming, beds were very comfortable. Would stay back there when I am in San Christobel for sure!

Hostel Erni is so kind and warmful and has a homely atmosphere. You'd better take a taxi at the front of the bus terminal (it will take about 5 minutes with a taxi fare of $30.00 (pesos)). You can feel completely at ease with Erika and Arturo (owners of this hostel) and have a nice breakfast.

I loved my stay at hostel erni. The hosts Erika and Arturo were beyond wonderful! So willing to help with all of my questions and needs. We had great conversations around the kitchen table and felt like they were truly interested in my story and life, as I was in theirs. ,this is a simple place with a loosely family.

Arturo and Eryka, the owners, are wonderful. Super friendly and helpful. Hot water showers Excellent beds. Great Location I would highly recomment this hostel
