Great location in the medina, 5 minute walk to anything of worth. Friendly staff, comfortable dorm. Hammocks were cosy, fun and relaxed atmosphere. Definately recommend it!

Easy to find in Media. Internet in all rooms (which is a change from almost all the other hostels in Morocco). The breakfast was the best - omlette, not just bread, bread, bread... And we managed to get it served to our room. Very friendly staff! Helped us organize good QUAD bikes. Also were surprisingly flexible on check out time!

We had an excellent stay at Hostel Essaouira, especially because of the fun staff, the great service and the good overall vibes. Definitely recommendable!

Good staff, gave me really good tips. Great atmosphere. Room door didn't lock but they give you a really big locker, so it was ok.

Everything about our stay was good, from the rooftop to the hammocks and beers and darts downstairs. It's in a good spot and made our stay in Essaouirra.

Great hostel, great facilities and good location. Staff very helpful. Really liked the board games and playing cards down stairs. Would definetly recommend staying here.

Leaving a side the staff of the hostel i would never recomend anybody to go to this hostel. The reason is simple: I was ROBED(!) by one friend (mustafa) of the hostal owner (Ibrahim). Summarizing (and my personal suggestion): do not dare to go to Essauira Hostel! In any case, i made a complaint at the police office! Hopefully it will have some consecuenses....

This has to be one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in - and I've stayed in many! In terms of luxury - it's pretty basic, but it's clean, the showers usually worked well (and with warm water!) and it's location is great, about 5mins walk from the beach, and in the heart of the medina. What makes this hostel special however, are the guys who own it and work in it - Magic Man, Brahim and Omar are welcoming and extremely obliging - even taking me on a late night hunt for cigarettes!

One of my all-time favourite hostels! I was SO sad to leave this place - Magic Man is a dead-set legend! The location is hard to find at first, but the hostel is in a great spot in the Medina. The rooftop terrace is great, and the common area downstairs is awesome for chillin, enjoying the local produce, drinking beers and making new friends! Rooms are a good size and have lockers which is rare in Morocco! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hostel!!!

Great common area to meet other travelers. Rooms a bit crowded but fine and good hot showers. Staff is really nice and helpful. Good roof patio and surfboards (although not very good) you can take out for free.

Great host (a little spaced out sometimes but then again his name is 'Magic'), nice hang out areas (roof top, hammocks and dungeon like living area).. Very easy going environment and Magic was really helpful when we extended our 1 night stay to 4 nights! :)
