Amazing place. Magic, Omar and the team couldn't have helped us any more. Always friendly and just waiting to take you to the best places to eat or arrange anything they could for you. Amazing people who made our stay even more special.

We arrived, but there was no particularly warm welcome. The manager just showed us around and seemed a bit indifferent. The place felt a bit claustrophobic and the rooftop was not very nice. It felt a bit rundown and not very clean. Compared to other places you may find in Morocco and Essaouira there was not much harmony and ambiance here. In Essaouira I would rather recommend Dar Afran with beautiful and charming interior with a great rooftop. The staff there is easygoing and intelligent.

Room was ok but washroom not clean (toilet had dirty water & pubes). Staff were sort of helpful but not very likeable. Bicycle rentals way overpriced.

Unclean hostel, old house. Staff at the beginning quite friendly but at the end wanted to have more money just for keeping our luggage inside (despite we already had checked out within time). A girl told me she had bedbugs there. I would not stay there again and many travellers i visited there told me the same.

BED BUGS! Stayed here two nights. Was told by a girl in the room about being bitten, found them later that night. Never saw the sheets changed as well. Just wiped and then made the bed. They lost some of our laundry. Charged us still. Charged to leave bags in lobby after checkout. The hostel itself would have been decent if it wasn't for these bumps within our stay. Won't be going back.

My daughter and myself had a great time at the hostel. It was tricky to find - and then to re-find in the Medina - but the welcome was wonderful. It's an incredibly laid back place and everyone is really thoughtful - bringing extra blankets in the night when it got cold, booking tickets for us, and generally just being really friendly. I would definitely point friends in that direction.

Not a bad hostel. Good: Staff are okay. Showers spacious enough and hot water. Nice roof terrace. Cheap. Bad: Beds unclean - I had bed bugs. Quite a lot of flies. Sign is worn away so difficult to find. Hidden cost to leave bags after checkout time 12 o clock.

Only stayed one night. Comfortable beds- got to experience the magic and the staff are really helpful, good English and want to ensure you have what you need. I would stay again.

We stayed in the 10 bed dorm and it was fine. I would recommend taking your own sleeping liner or something as I didn't like to use the blanket provided as there was no sheet in between. But considering the price I should not complain. The staff were polite and helpful and did a great performance for all the guests on our last night there with dancing and singing. There was also great food on offer which was a really good price especially if you were part of a group.

A great place to stay, we loved every moment of our extended stay. The staff is great, good fun and super helpful. Pretty much whatever you need will be orginized by them. Very homely feeling. We'll be back very soon hopefully! Clemens

Great hostel. Staff are great, everything is set up perfectly. There is a large common area, as well as a rooftop terrace where you can relax. Magic, Omar and the gang will help you out with anything you need - brew you a tea, prepare a shisha, help you where to get cheap supplies - and will show you around town and the best places to go. The location is also perfect, very central in the Medina.

Me and my friend stayed for 2 nights in Hostel Essaouira and we can really recommend this place. It was one of the best places we stayed in Marocco! Good location in the medina, nice room (we had a double room, really nice decorated), nice rooftop with a kitchen, friendly and helpfull staff (we fall in love with Magic man and Omar, haha!) and absolutely worth the price!! If I would come back to Essaouira, I would definitively come back to this place!!

My friend and I had a fantastic stay at Hostel Essaouira! The hostel is very conveniently located in the Medina, and a 5-10 minute walk to pretty much anything you could want to do in Essaouira. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and there was a great atmosphere with all the other guests staying in the hostel. While you're there, ask one of the staff to take you to the local hammam- cool cultural experience!

Appaorpriate for a short stay in essaouria. One night is more than enough here. I would book someone a bit cleaner if I were going again.

hostel was very calm because of the off-season (like all other hostels in Morocco) so the atmosphere wasn't as good as we expected. I believe in summer this could be one of best party hostels in town. During our stay there were problems with running water in all medina. room was dark with a high humidity. Rooftop terrace was great with a small kitchen area!
