Good hostel but more expensive than ones we stayed in at fez or marrakech and nothing special about it. the roof top terrace gives a great view of the city at sunset and it is in a good location, only 5 min from the bus and markets. theres a bassment social room which gives it a bit of a seedy feel but you can chill up on the terrace and in the hammocks.

Seemed like a pretty cool hostel, although they were doing renovations while we were there so there was stuff all over the place. I bet it looks awesome now though. I would recommend not staying in the 8 bed dorm as this is FAR more squishy than the other rooms and my bed wasn't full sized (cut off diagonally at the end, weird), all the other rooms looked much more comfortable for not much more money. Aside from that we had a great stay and the staff were friendly :)

What made this hostel awesome was the people we met while there. If you are travelling around during the summer break or have just gotten out of college and are doing a vacation, this is the place to stay. The guy at the front desk we nicknamed 'Magic Man' and he always seemed to have his head in the clouds never making sense. One night our room smelled like sewage and we got some incense to work as 'air freshener' for the room. Breakfast rocked the casbah. Stay here definitely.

This is a pretty good hostel in a great location. Close to Supratours bus station. The terrace is a nice place to hang out too. Staff were really helpful and accommodated my change of plans at the last minute.

Said average security, because although felt fine overall, hadn't left anything in my locker so just left my key in a shoe & when I got back the padlock had gone from my locker. Told them so didn't charge me, and the guy said the cleaner had found there was nothing inside so assumed I didn't need it. Seems a bit strange to me that if you find a key you don't just leave it, but open and check to take the padlock... but otherwise fine. Fine if all you want is a place to sleep, very smokey lounge.

Met some great people staying here. Don´t Belive all the facilities that have been ticked though. Breakfast wasn´t included, but wasn´t expensive.

A great Hostel, they were just renovating the bar when I was there a month ago so it is probably even better now. Even so there were two areas, a lounge and a terrace, to hang out in plus a couple of hammocks and surf boards that you could borrow if you wanted to. Bunks were comfy and generally felt very safe at night. It is tucked away down a back alley however that is simply Morocco. Would definitely re-visit!

Magic man is the man, you'll get it if you stay there :) Very nice hostel with chilled atmosphere in the middle of medina (old town) with 10 mins walk from the beach. The best place to stay in Essaouira.

Really friendly staff and decent rooms, although decor is a bit outdated and the roof terrace needs an update. The location is quite tricky at first, but a few times in and out, you get used to it... Decent overall.

This is a great place, right in the medina, with a friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, clean and bright. And with lots of musical instruments, which was good because I was missing my guitar which was at home in the UK!

Dark and dingy hostel with non-existent staff. The location was the only redeeming feature of this place -- everything was grimy, our towels had stains, the bathrooms never had toilet paper or soap, the whole place smelled like smoke, etc. If you want to hang out in the dark common room and smoke, this would be a good place for you. But for everyone else who wants to experience the local culture and have a nice place to sleep, look elsewhere. Don't trust the listed facilities!

I was recommended this hostel by friends, and saw why. Cool building, nice location (found it easily first night), good vibes, food and drink available, and magic is a true legend, he can sort anything, even a taxi to marrakech airport 5am! Will definitely come back
