One of the worst hostels I have been to. Unfortunately there is (or was at the time) no alternative, else we would have changed accommodation. Something I have never wanted before. There is a very specific problem with this hostel, but a very annoying one. The hostel is on a party street. That itself is not the problem. But there is a club (a very bad one I may add) in house and the noise pollution at night is bordering on torture. The staff said they know the problem but no earplugs available.

they dont have credit card. the old man at the reception takes too much time to get the personal information and write it down. the computer was out of order, and asked me even the date i made the ID,and the expiration date...what the hell for?? the building is very nice, i think they could do a better hostel.

The noise was horrible...

It doesnt feel like a hostel at all. Its like beeing in a castle...with many rooms and no one there to talk to. Not like at all for this price.

Excellent hostel if you don't go to bed before 3am : an outdoor nightclub is in the neighborhood !

Great staff and a great place to meet other travellers, had one of our best nights out with the people we met. The facilities were pretty bad though - no air-con in the room and the shower definitely hadnt been cleaned in a looooong while!! Didnt work very well either. Dont expect getting a good night sleep either - the hostel is surrounded by the loudest bars with the worst kareokers and if you have to keep your window open due to lack,of aircon it makes for an uncomfortable night.

Great location in the sity center of Palermo, old building with fascinating architecure. Very helpful staff with good English (which is quite uncommon for Sicily). Big kitchen with all necessary equipment. Beautifyl terrace on the roof. As for disadvantages - hostel is surrounded with bars, discoteques and karaokes, so it is quite noisy during the night. But if you prefer to stay out during the night, lay on the beach whole day and shopping in the evening this is perfect place!

the hostel was really dirty, located in a street really bad... looks dangerous. and also the music from the street make really dificult to sleep...
