One of the best hostels I have stayed in ever. Staff were friendly, breakfast was amazing and the hostel provided amazing atmosphere to meet people and hangout. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely safe hostel located in the best area of Salvador, Pelerinho. Everyday has a happy hour including free caipirinha which gets everyone in the hostel together to socialise. Ideal for backpack travellers. Two dogs as friendly as ever called Spartan and Zulu. Great service from Paoblo and other staff offering great advice and activities to do in the day. Breakfast is included with the choice of toasties, cake, fresh juice and fruit with the choice of getting scrambled eggs. Amazing

One of the best hostels I ever stayed in. The breakfast was amazing, we had a great atmosphere during my stay, the owner is really cool, the hotel dog is awesome, location is perfect, and the free caipirinhas are actually really good. Security was superb which was really important for me in Salvador. I wish I stayed more than 2 nights... Recommend to everyone unless you hate fun... And dogs.

Great hostel - the free caipirinha hour is a great way to meet people. The hostel is super social and everyone talks to everyone. Facilities are great and the location is perfect for the old town. The staff are constantly cleaning which is nice and the rooms are spacious enough for bags. Super great security and the breakfast is fab - toasty machine makes all the difference to those ham and cheese sandwiches. Couldn't work out if the owner liked us or hated us but he was nice enough!

We had a private room so the room was really good, beds were comfy and the room had aircon. Hostel was a bit noisy from the street at night (which they can't help). Breakfast was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Thank you very much for the amazing time I had in your hostel. It was definitely the best breakfast on my trip. Just the owner should try to smile a bit more. I would definitely come back

Location was fantastic, the atmosphere and the facilities first rate. The free caprinha hour was great for meeting people with a big group of people always turning up for it and doing stuff as a group after, only problem would be with its timing 5.15 - 6.15 felt really early, would have preferred it to be later. The staff came across as a bit rude but after spending a while there I realised its just their way, they were helpful and professional but not overly affable. Would deffinately recommend

This is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed at in South America. The staff are wonderful, the owner may come across as a little cold to some people but in fact he is a very warm and wonderful man who has a passion for this hostel. I highly recommend staying here- don't pass up the free caipirinhas at happy hour, everyone gathers downstairs- it's very memorable. Thank you so much Galeria1 & Paulo 3 for everything.

Great hostel, staff, atmosphere and people! In the heart of the city, everything is on the doorstep. Awesome free breakfast and cocktails every night. The owner sorted out transport there and onwards and was very helpful and patient with our attempts to speak Portuguese. The pool is amazing and a welcome break from the city. It's an oasis with the perfect of calm and socialable in a great city. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

The staff at hostel galeria were very helpful and answered any questions we had. The breakfast was particularly good with a lot of choice and is served until late which is also great for late risers! only bad point was it was a little noisy in the evenings because of the blocco parties happening outside but you are in the centre of town so its what I expected.

The location is good if you want to be in the historic area. The breakfast was great and the other travelers were awesome but it was not very clean and the staff is not the friendliest.

It's an ok hostel. Facilities are not very clean and the AC only works from 10pm until some time in the morning (you can't turn it on if you want to). Unlike their staff (which was very nice), the owner (Paulo) was very rude every time I would talk to him for no reason. I would never stay there again because of this.

The one night stayers who sum up all the hard work in a few hours . Its the best way to get a real impression of a hostel. Customers who arrive before 0500 are still well recieved and are even offered a breakfast. Some still get annoyed because they may have to wait until 1300 or 1400, i think they should be more realistic on summing up how they were treated,Of course its not pleasant waiting 8 hours to get in your room thats why we suggest booking the night before if arriving that early

Great Hostel in the Barrio Alto (old historical center) of Salvador. We enjoyed our stay and especially the big breakfast Buffet!
