Great hostel. Breakfast is just excellent, and the workers (particularly Alberto and the ladies in the kitchen were extremely helpful and friendly.
Great hostel! Free caipirinha's are great and makes the atmosphere. Rooms were not so clean but OK.
Loved the pool and the puppies! The staff could have been a bit more helpful (a few don't speak English enough to give advice). Our room's ensuite bathroom smelled a little moldy, but otherwise the hostel was very clean. Perfect location!
The breakfast is awesome! Staff is well informed and all time really friendly. Beds are comfortable..Couldnt be better.
A great first stop off on out S American tour. Paulo and his team were extremely helpful and welcoming! Oh, and Mrs Vandas breakfast was obscenely yummy! 👍
Hostel Galeria 13 is awesome - just like everyone says. The icing on the cake is the staff. Beyond the generous and delicious breakfast, the owner of the hotel (unfortunately whose name I've forgotten - British I believe!) went above and beyond to help us with our travels to Boipeba. In the end he saved us a LOT of money and helped us get there on our own, which we wouldn't have tried otherwise. Not to mention the dogs are criminally cute.e, and the big dog too.
+ Awesome breakfast, very nice staff, good advices where to go, location unbeatable, caipirinha happy hour is awesome to meet the other people in the hostel - the only "downside" was that we stayed in the doghouse so we had to walk around the corner and had to get someone to let us in all the time but that was no big deal
Great atmosphere, best hostel of our trip!! Lovely breakfast, rooms, outside & inside area's. Also loved the caipirinha happy hour, a great way to meet new people and we ended up going out at night with a great group of people!

small pool, 2 hostels near each other, clean, average beds but with AC not really a party hostel but a nice place to stay in. the owner owns a restaurant too which got a very very good burgers
Breakfast is amazing! The best! There is lot of people in one room and only one bathroom, but it worked fine while I was there. But because so many people is using it, it's not the cleanest. They help you, if you have any questions. Not a party hostel, even that people are not boring either. Nice locacion.
The atmosphere in the hostel is really great, the "free caipirinha hour" is a great way to meet other people, everyone socializes a great deal rather than getting pissed. The staff is so nice and helpful, they are just great and so available! It is such a welcoming environment, we were very happy to stay there! Breakfast is also super nice (coffee is disgusting, but that was true for every single cup we drunk in Brazil :D ) and the outside area is lovely. Many lockers available.
Galeria 13 is located in the safe area of Salvador, close to restaurants and transportations. Rooms are clean, and the breakfast is absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere is quite tranquil.

good atmosphere and great for solo travellers
Great hostel! A huge plus is the free caipirinha hour, the perfect moment to socialize and make friends. Good breakfast, helpful staff and good location to explore the city.
We loved the caipi hour! Thanks!
There are two houses, for the so called "dog house", the key system seems to be an issue, having to contact the people at the bar in front to open the house. If the bar is not open, one has to go to the other house to get someone (who is not always willing), to open the house.
Best breakfast in brazil so far, scrambled egg and sausage along with all other usual suspects! Good location & good place for solo traveller , also free caprinyas everyday is great, you can get 4 if your a fast drinker, shame about the mosquitos in the garden but its expected i guess !
