Highly recommended place to stay at, staff were very friendly & helpful . Morning breakfast is a must and later in the day make sure your back for the free drinks! Rooms were clean and had air conditioning which is great. Generally the hostel had a great vibe to it and you will meet other like minded travellers.

Only a couple of the staff speak English, the owner is really nice and will go out of his way to help you. Clean rooms, but the toilet situation (1 toilet per dorm room) can be a little annoying. Excellent breakfast (best I've had so far in Brazil) and goes from 8am until midday!

Friendly staff with a great host. Atmosphere was brilliant and needed only the capirinha happy hour to up the volume. Had a great time.over the 5 nights. Located in pelourinho, which is a great place to party or to visit the historic squares. The breakfast was fantastic with eggs, fruits, sausages, etc. Thank you!!

Fantastic Hostel! Paulo is a fantastic host. Always up for having a chat with you and will give you great tips on the local area. The hostel organised walking tour is a great way to get to know the area. The whole hostel is clean as the cleaners are basically around 24/7. Breakfast is great sausage and eggs every morning. Also lasts til 12 for late risers like myself. Free caipirinhas for an hour also makes for a great atmosphere in the hostel and is a great time to meet people!

Atmosphere, breakfast and caipirinha's were great! My mattress wasn't the best, but the rest made up for that!

It's not often I give a hostel 100% but this one definitely deserves it... Oh my god the breakfast!

Located in pelo area which is a little sketchy at night, people follow you to the hostel or ask if you need help to get there and then try to charge you for "helping" You. Didn't feel very safe in the area at all. Not the hostels fault. The breakfast was awesome, eggs, fruit, toasties, fresh juice, coffee. Staff amazing and helpful. Bathrooms in each room which can be a little annoying in a 10 bedded dorm. Rooms are good size with lockers and clean, free caipirinhas are an added bonus.

We spent 3 nights in Salvador and Hostel Galeria 13 is the best place to be ! The staff is very nice and always here to help, the price is very affordable, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the location is perfect, the two dogs are very cute, the pool is appreciated and the free Caiprinha even more!!! I definitely recommend this place.

Great place, amazing breakfast, two friendly dogs, but unfortunatelly no kitchen (they give 10% off at their place though- but cheaper and better option around)

One of the best hostels we've stayed in. Great location, superb breakfast and a brilliant atmosphere fostered by the free (yes, free) caipirinhas every afternoon. The staff were very nice, always willing to help, and the reception crew spoke excellent English. The dogs were cute but they did smell a bit. The only con was that one of the windows in our private room had neither glass nor fly screen, so we had problems with mosquitoes on one night.

This was simply the best hostel I've stayed on my 3 month trip. The atmosphere is FANTASTIC, you're guaranteed to meet everyone in the hostel, largely thanks to the free caipihinas hour every evening! Great to socialize and make new travel friends. The free breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The owner might seem a bit unfriendly at first, but he's actually a nice guy, and runs his place very efficiently. Make sure to be there on a Tuesday night, the most fun night of the week in town!

the hostel is really good and has a nice common area. beds are good and clean. bathroom just missed hand soap. i didnt have time to have the breakfast because of an early flight. the good thing is that they have transfer to the airport or bus terminal and i really recommend using it. it is safer and might be cheaper than taking a cab on the street.

Fantastic hostel, definitely one of the best I've ever stayed in. Huge breakfast that lasts all morning gives you lots of time to sleep off your hangover. The set up of the hostel and free caipirinha hour ensures everyone socializes so even if you are shy it's easy to make friends. Had clean bathrooms and showers worked well. Helpful staff, super friendly dogs and though I read reviews of the owner being cold I completely disagree, he was a very nice and friendly guy.

This is my favorite and the nest hostel in Brazil. From the first moment you feel like home. The hostel nestled in the heart of Pelourinho which means that your sighting tour starts when you step off the hostel. The staff is friendly and tries the best to give you a lot of information about hostel, historic center, transport etc. They have free caipirinha hour every day which is a nice touch and the great way how to meet other travelers with whom I also spent great evenings at the dinners and b

You couldn't get a better location, right in the middle of the Pelourinho. The staff is extremely nice and friendly, they organize tours for you, there is a swimming pool, two gorgeous dogs (!), a computer for people to use, and free caipirinhas every night from 5.15pm tp 6.15pm. I highly recommend you this hostel.

The best hostel in Brazil! I was meant to stay 2 nights but ended up 8 in total I just couldn't leave! Paulo runs a very tight ship! He looks scary Brit but he is absolutely lovely, has travelled lots and genuinely wants people to have fun time. The 8 bed dorm was spacious, enough room for bags and lockers and a big bathroom. Very clean hostel. Fantastic location! Fantastic atmosphere. Free caipirinhas each night and the breakfast by vanda is AWESOME! Best time, I'll definitely be back!
