Stay is cheap but the standard in dorms is really poor. They have nice club/bar in the basement and parties there are pretty good but there is no way to sleep during the nights when the party take place.

The location was incredible and the staff was very friendly. They were always willing to recommend a good restaurant or give directions. Some downsides are that the room was very cold at night and it did not have a very lively atmosphere. However, there is so much to do in the neighborhood that it is not really a huge problem.

The hostel and staff lack character and enthusiasm. No sharp cooking knife. Not enough chairs. Noisy bedrooms (street + every time the door rings)

Very dirty place, the bathrooms are very ugly and always wet, no hot water, it looks like a pub's toilete. The kitchen had no knives, no nothing. The bar was closed... The rooms have no key, and the lockers are broken... The only good thing is the location!

I have 80 beg bug bites all over my body and I don't think they did anything with my complaint! Everything was disgusting (kitchen, room, beds, bathroom) and a lot of stuff was broken as well. Don't go there!

My wife & I stayed in Giramondo Suites. On a really hot day we were stuck in a tiny room with bunk beds up some stairs that, wearing our rucksacks, we could barely squeeze up. There was a fan but the room was so small that it stayed unbearably hot & sweaty all night. We could have opened a window to the hall but then our bags wouldn't have been secure. Pillows very stained, no towels provided. Bathrooms tiny, 1 of 2 ladies' toilets blocked. Just got out in the morning as quickly as possible!

Great location, close to transport links and the nightlife of palermo. One staff member was great at sorting out our football tickets, in general staff were helpful. Room was comfortable but close proximity to reception desk and door buzzer was a pain. Had to get dirty sheets changed on arrival due to stains but staff were more than happy to sort it out and apologetic.

We only stayed for a night, but it was nice. The 10 bed dorm was plenty spacious and the kitchen and patio were nice as well. The staff is generally bilingual and the desk is open 24-7, I would recommend it!

I'm Argentinian and I've had the opportunity of travelling all around the world, always staying at hostels...that's why I can say that Giramondo is an excellent place! It's well located, just six blocks from all the restaurants and bars. Cleanliness is very good comparing to other hostels.Staff helped me a lot in every doubt I had.In cities like NY, hostels asked me for money to keep my suitcases in a safe place and for internet service. It´s all included in the price, here. I recommend it!

It's my second at Giramondo, I spend a wonderfull days. The girls of the Staff were very friendly. It's a great location, close to metro and buses. The underground bar is very cute, with good music and drinks. The best to stay at Palermo!!!

there were bed bugs! like, a lot! the girl at the reception was nice when we told her and gave us a better room for the same price. only problem: the better room had no window and nor the air conditioning or any of the fans were working. we just stayed one night because of all that.

I have stayed here 5 times before and loved it but that was four years and more ago... now it is left a neglected dump staffed by lazy people who know little about running a good hostel. The kitchen was all but non-existent, the water did not not run for part of the time, was never hot and the place was a mess. Plus, they have closed the bar and do not bother to tell anyone. I have stayed at many hostels, this one ought to be shut down. We moved a block away for less money and a great place...

Volvimos a decirlo y no pareció importarles mucho. Ni perdón, ni nada. También tuvimos que rematar dos cucarachas. El resto muy bien, pero la verdad que si hay CHINCHES...

it was a great room. There was very little information about the city or the area attractions. I found taxi drivers and people generally uninformed about the sights of their city. You have to do your own research ahead of time. It was near public transportation and in a safe area and that was very good. It was quiet and staff were willing to research things for you.

The Hostel is located in a great neighborhood for bars, parties, cultural events, buses, subway and restaurants. I stayed in Giramondo Suites that is only for people that doesn´t share rooms. It is pretty quiet, good for a couple trip or if you like a calm place to relax and don´t be disturbed. But if you like hostel to make friends to enjoy the city and everything else, this is not the place. The staff is really helpfull, but the breakfast is really poor. It´s a good place, but not the best.
