It's only really good for a bed to sleep on, and even then they were pretty terrible. Small beds, very creaky and loud, and very uncomfortable. The place isn't in tip top shape either, plus a large lack of bathrooms and showers where waiting times got frustrating. However, the location is amazing. If you don't care about what you're sleeping on, then consider this place purely on it's awesome location. I cannot say it enough, LOCATION!

The upper bunk beds in the 9 dorm room where horrible. It was really difficult to get into the upper bunk and there was no protection on the side so as to assure you didn't fall down during the night! The fact that the hostel advertise with check out time at 11am on their webpage and the actual check out time is 10am is also a problem in my opinion - they should change that! Apart from the things above the interior design of the hostel were quite nice and inviting.

Don't cancel bookings after 9pm. Offer late check-in for a fee.

The hostel was worth staying only because of its great location in Mont Royal. Otherwise I would not go there again. My friend and I stayed in a mixed dorm with 9 beds. The room was tiny, no fresh air, and the tripple-beds are not to recommend. The "kitchen" was poorly equipped (bring your own tin opener, topper ware and your own locks for the lockers). There was only one staff member (he was helpful). Too many people, sometimes very messy. But fridge got fixed, new kitchen rags provided.
