Told on arrival they didn't have beds for us! Eventually sorted it, but was very unorganised. Unhygienic placement of toilets & showers..pretty much in the kitchen! Only 1 staff member out of 4 was actually helpful - others did not seem fussed about issues, & frequently ignored phone when it rang! Air con left on way too low 1 night & pretty much everyone got minimal sleep as it was so cold, no staff there to sort until morning.
The bathroom facilities were very poor. There were two toilets, one with a sliding door that opened into the kitchen that somehow lost its door halfway through our visit, and another behind an unlocked door with no way to designate that the bathroom was occupied. The showers likewise has flimsy curtains and opened up into the kitchen eliminating any semblance of privacy. Furthermore the rooms were made from converted office space so there were only glass walls with thin curtains to cover.
Although the staff was very friendly, this place should not be considered as a hostel. Rooms are only separated from the hallway by a makeshift glass wall and tapestries, beds are all close together like we're at camp, there are no shower doors (only shower curtains - talk about privacy), and you could have seen through the bathroom door if you wanted to. The mattresses felt like they were made of paper (not helping back problems...).
