Not really a hostel, no communal area, fine if in a group but up 4 scary flights of stairs at the end of a corridor. Apartment was nice though and good value for money.

I have booked two bed room, but got free upgrade to apartment, which was really amazing! The owner gave me and my partner all the necessary stuff like hair dryer and we could use washing machine and dryer ( it was rainy day) and also access to internet on PC was possible ( beside WiFi) The owners are very supportive, the room was clean, not so quiet because of the street side, but it made no difference to our staying there- we booked another night! Definitely recommendable!!!

The owner is fantastic. He is friendly and very helpful. The hostel is in a prime location, a 3-5 minute walk from the bars and restaurants etc.

The hostel is extremely clean and well kept, the facilities are pleasant and really do create the feeling that you are at home (thus the hostel's name "Home sweet home" seems right on point!). Located in the city centre with all the main tourist points nearby. The staff are very friendly and willing to offer help whenever needed. We will definitely visit this hostel again when we're in Sarajevo next time. More than worthy of the money paid.

We spent a great time there! Old building but with nice, very clean rooms and excellent facilities ( television and fridge in the room, for example). The staff was the greatest, a girl was very helpful and we could ask her anything and chat about things that we were interested in during our stay. Definitely recommend!!

Location is great. I think its the most important part of choosing hostel:) and Alma was nice to us. Biggest problem of the hostel was that there was no water in nights. Im not sure if its because hostel. Thnx for everything anyway:)

W had really good time in hostel Home Sweet Home. It is located in the heart of Sarajevo's main pedestrian street. When you wake up, you can open the window and there it is below you Ferhadija street. Bascarsija is 30 seconds away, literally. You have atm exchange office in front of the hostel. Great pubs around it.. It is very clean, we had our private room, kitchen and bathroom. Sasa, person that welcomes you,is a great guy with cool tips!

There is no conditioner and it's very hot. It's very hard to find administrator - we saw them only when checked in and couldn't find them during next day and checkout. Location is perfect - in the city center in pedestrian area, the most landmarks are not far from hostel.

Very attentive staff. Great and convenient location.

Our stay at Hostel Home Sweet home was very pleasant. Our only complaint would be that there was no one around for our check in as there is no reception. This wouldn't be a problem if there was a sign with some detailed information about check in/check out times and how to contact the owner of the hostel. The only thing in the reception area was a sign saying "car rental" and a phone number. We were soon told by another guest that this was how to contact the owner.

Positives. Cleaned daily (by very sweet cleaner!), fantastic location in middle of everything, secure rooms + floor. Negatives. Converted apartment rather than hostel, facilities falsely described so our room had no access to fridge (+ no way to cook), no communal area, washing machine temporarily broken and owner couldn't show how to use it when it worked, and after being locked in bathroom for 45 minutes due to dodgy lock , no apology or replaced lock afterwards. Hospitality training needed!

We really loved it here. One thing to mention is that in that area the water is turned off for some hours in the night. This isn't a problem, but just so you know.
