Nice hostel, which is reasonably cheap compared to others in and around Vienna. Easy access into Vienna via the U-Bahn station nearby. Can be difficult to meet other travellers as the hostel is so large.

On arrival I was told i had an 'upgrade' to a smaller room where i was the only inhabitant. As a 20 something year old traveler there was no atmosphere and too many families, school groups and and older couples. Saying that once i found others my own age things brightened up.

We want to thank you for your review. We are sorry if you did not like your upgrade. In order to make your stay even more pleasent we transfered you from a 6-bedded to a 4-bedded dorm. We are sorry if you did not feel that comfortable with that decision. We are really happy that thing brightened up for you during your stay. We are thankful for your review and we would be happy if we could welcome you again sometime. Your Hostel Hütteldorf Team

Boring. Works as a place to sleep, but has a dreadful feeling of Christian Summer Camp, with accordingly strict rules. Is a large building on the absolute outskirts of Vienna. Would strongly recommend seeking out other accommodation if you're a backpacker wishing to explore the city!

We want to thank you for your review. We are sorry for your inconvenience. We are sorry if you felt restricted by our rules. We have a few rules (e.g. night silence) which we implemented in consideration of our guests and our neighbours. We are sorry once again and we hope that we could still meet again in future. The Hutteldorf hostel was simple, clean and spacious, with helpful staff, good parking and space to relax. the location is good being at the end of one of the metro lines to Vienna (with a station of the same name) make the trip into Vienna simple for a none speaking foreigner like me!

A little hard to find as it looks like a block of council flats but was happy staying here. Breakfast was pleasant, nice sized rooms that felt like a college sharing house almost. Good transport to the city centre

Soap is needed in the bathroom for washing hands. Travelers do not normally carry hand soap.

Positive: very very good breakfast, staff and atmosphere. Negative: 10 km from the centre (you have to spend at least 4,40 euros per day at transport to go and comeback), no kitchen or even a fridge, what is terrible for low cost travelers, and a lot of mosquitos.

There were ants in the bathroom. The room was to small. It was a 20 minute drive from the center. Unfortunately not worth the money

Friendly staff, everybody speaks English, clean rooms and bathroom. Great buffet for breakfast. Secure car park(free) lockers(1Euro ) and clean bedding (free) are provided. Although the hostel is located in the outskirt of Vienna, the town centre is in 20 minutes by the underground train. Reception open for 24 hours.

It was clean and safe and had a good friendly atmosphere. It's in a quiet part of the city so easy to sleep. As for location it is a bit further away but it takes 15 mins by ubahn so it's not bad at all.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were friendly, it was lovely to be slightly outside of the city centre but still close.

When I stayed at Hostel Hutteldorf, my friend fell ill with laryngitis. The staff were unbelievably helpful. We were only staying for one night, which was a Sunday. They called an emergency doctor out for us, and tried their absolute best to aid with the communication between us and the doctors - I wasn't taught the word for tonsils during A Level German! Thank you so much for being so friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay regardless of its brevity.

Not sufficient sockets to recharge the battery in a room for six.

Nice comfortable hostel with clean rooms and a good breakfast. Don't expect a party hostel though.

this hostel is ideal for groups I grant you that. For solo backpackers not so much. Bad location in a huge city. Either way the hostel was alright, just not for my personal preferences which are small, friendly and close to the train station and city centre. All of which this hostel sadly failed at. Don't be discouraged by me though, all in all it's clean, good facilitied and all you need of a hostel.

In the middle of nowhere with no atmosphere. Was there on a Saturday and nothing was going on.

Great breakfast!

This was the worst hostel I have visited. It's far outside the city, all the staff at the desk that I interacted with (late night, evening mainly) were rude except for the younger girl working in the morning, the place is mostly families with young children, the free breakfast is a joke and inedible, there is no party life, no accessible real food past 10pm in the area, and I could not recommend anybody should stay here.
