we signed up for the full moon party which was just a party in the mountains near a river and got told that it includes 45 minutes of rafting.. we ended up doing 20 minuten and that was it.. no explanation as to why and no refund.. very dissapointing considering Ive spent 170 pesos for 20 minutes of pretty avearage rafting. as for the hostel. its got a really nice bar and a decend pool in the back, the rooms are comfy and the bathrooms are pretty good. staff are nice.

The only real gripe I had was the state of the kitchen. Not a good one that is for sure, but the rest was really good and fun times were had and the staff were especially good.

Had a great time at this hostel. They offer a lot of activities and you can take part in many parties that are organized with other hostels. The rooms are very spacious and the staff is really helpful and friendly.

Worst bathrooms I've seen at a hostel. Even when most your time is spent in the mountains or vineyards, no air con in our room (although apparent jn others) plus unusuable shower made it an uncomfortable few days. Good common areas by the way of table tennis table, pool table, bar and pool, making way for a solid party atmosphere, but only if you wanna hang with throttlers. Wouldn't stay here again

Good breakfast. Decent spaces for hanging out and meeting other travellers. Beds a little uncomfortable. Definitely a party hostel, but at least the parties are in another location, so it´s not noisy. Just be warned, the "free tequila" that is included at the parties is the cheapest lighter-fluid you can find, poured directly down the patrons´ throats.

A great party hostel that does spot on party nights with other HI hostels in Mendoza. Serving free tequila in the mouth gives you a rough hangover that is def worth it. The staff there are wicked and very friendly. Make sure you get a room with air con this time of year at the hostel, same for any hostel in Mendoza. The only criticism I have for the place is the guest kitchen, what is a bit below standard. If they sorted that out, this place would be an amazing hostel. Still really recommend.

Wicked hostel - the staff are so much fun and really helpful and there´s loads of activities to do through the hostel. The hostel is really laid back and not strict like some so you feel really at home. They also have a really great pizza party on wednesdays at a nearby hostel with free tequilla for half an hour. Plus loads of outdoor areas and the pool to hang out with your own beers. Get a room with air con though!

Great hostel and would definitely recommend it. The staff here are the best I have come across so far and deal with everyone brilliantly for such a large hostel. the connection with the other hostel is great and they put on some really good nights, the Friday night BBQ is a must.

If you are looking for a party hostel then definitly stay here. They have a great communal area with a downstairs bar, pool table, ping pong table and swimming pool. We stayed during the week and went to the Wednesday night Pizza party which is well worth the BOB30 - you get loads of pizza, free tequilla for 30 minutes and then it turns into a great party. It is a bit out of the way though which is the only downside. We went to Mendoza Inn for the Pizza party which is in a better location.

This place was ok. Beds a little hard and rooms cramped and a little hot even though we used the aircon all night. Common area was great, good atmosphere for hanging out, cooking nd meeting people, although the fridge and kitchen was a little small for all the people who wanted to cook. They organized tours and we went rafting and wine bike touring, all great and easy to figure out. The directions on hostelworld were not at all correct, took much longer. Not sure if i would stay here again.

Very underwhelming. They had a good asado (BBQ) but that was about it. Not all it is cracked up to be, there are much better options out there for the value!

Fun party enviorment. Good walking distance to bar/restaurants area. Only thing i'd say needs big improvement is the cooling system in the rooms. Way too hot and uncomfortable during summer.

pretty decent place that joins up with other hostels a couple nights a week for good parties, reasonably nice and helpful staff. Only real complaint is that the room was stinking hot and a simple ceiling fan did not suffice - pool was only available about 50% of our stay.

Great hostel and super helpful staff. Caromina sat with us on arrival and explained all that was on offer in Mendoza and booked all the tours and buses for us. Great party on Wed and Fri nights. We were there for the wed night one which happens at the other HI hostel... the pizza party with free tequila for 30 mins... dangerous! Good fun and easy to meet other travellers!

Front reception staff were really nice, though the music at reception is played way too loud most of the time. Fridge was in real bad shape when we were there. Pool was dirty all the time, as is usual for most Mendoza hostels, this was our 3rd hostel in town. Very hot in the hostel.

positive: very nice room with outside terrace, great parties together with other hostels, very friendly staff, good organization WIFI good (bar/recep only, not in room) intense selling of their own tours, weak other info 15min walk to town

Out of all the hostels we stayed at in Argentina, Hostel International Mendoza was our favorite hostel we stayed at. The staff is amazing, so fun and helpful, the owner is great, friendly and you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and making sure they have a good time. We spent New Years 2011-2012 here, and the hostel organized a great party along with another hostel, lots of dancing and people in the pool. We also went to the pizza party and the free tequila was great.
