Sadly we only stayed for one night as we had booked a bus to Santiago the following day. Just out of town this hostel is the perfect stop between Mendoza and Santiago, and to see Aconcagua. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and as we arrived inthemorning he offered us coffee and croissants. Best thing about this hostel is the location. Absolutely stunning scenery and the best night sky I have ever seen by far. Go here for a warm welcome and solitude.
Great place to stay at if you enjoy nature and the beauty of the Andes. Chris, the owner is a great guy and will help you out with anything. They also have many tour services at a really good rate (we went horseback riding and it was really good). Breakfast is pretty awesome too, and includes eggs. Also you will probably never see so many stars in the sky as in Uspallata. Totally recommend!
The hostel Is right in the countryside and You will Need to walk 7 km to the Town to geht supplies.... The atmosphere and Kitchen was nice, however they do not want you to use the fireplace, which would be actually very romantic and would solve the missing heating Problem as well.
The owner is a great guy, and gives you all the information that you need about getting around. Perhaps they would need a large staff. The place is not precisely a youth hostel, there were several families and middle-age couples, but the atmosphere was good. Probbably a big problem was it location, 6 km from Uspallata city, which was not correctly indicated in the map.
