Quite far away from the city center (~30min with bike). Nice and friendly staff. Mediocre breakfast. Clean rooms, showers and toilets. Lacked a little bit of atmosphere because there weren't that many visitors.
Thank you guys. We stayed for 1 night and were allowed to depose our luggage for another day. Location out of town did not matter to us.
perfect if you are looking for a place away from civilisation and don't need internet and love walking.great to chill.there is an awesome place by the river to sit and read books but full of horse poop...
This hostel is 7km out of town, which is inconvenient (your options are a bus that comes by twice a day, a 2 hr walk and a 65 peso cab). That said, it is a really beautiful setting, surrounded by mountains so you can walk out the door and go on beautiful walks to the nearby creek or arrange to be picked up by horses (highly reccomended). You can also take the bus from the hostel to Aconcagua park. Overall it is fairly clean and offers a nice breakfast.
very nice place to stay, to relax, to enjoy the beautiful contryside. it's a bit far to the village, you walk for 2 hours to get there, however there are buses every few hours (5peso=0,50€), or you can hitch-hike. it has a great atmosphere, nice garden to relax, beside a little stream, kitchen is equipped okay... uspallata has good possibilites to enjoy nature (rent a bike, go horse-riding...)
Staff was amazing in arranging trips (horseback riding - amazing!), bus to santiago from hostel. Everyone, guests and staff, was super friendly. Wifi didn't work the 2 nights I was there.
The hostel is closed to the Uspallata town(which is on the way from Mendoza to Chile border ), location is good only if you have a car and plan to visit Punte de Inca and Aconcagua. Staff is super friendly and we had a bbq there, enjoyable night. Shower is fine, no WIFI, kitchen is not too clean.
I stayed there over Christmas and the owner prepared awesome asado dinner for the guests! We had lot of fun until early hours sitting around bonfire! It is a bit of a trek to the pueblo, but there are bikes for rent, so no problem. Internet still doesn't work...
staff was really nice and nice place. But : - no internet "because of the wind", but then no more wind and still no internet - the bikes could not be used. - breakfast was good, but the second day it was the bakery of the day before - i was told I could take the bus from the hostel to Santiago for 350$. The following day it was 415$, but for a semi-cama bus. Actually, I paid the price of a semi-cama, for a warm mini-bus, and the owner put the 65$ of difference directly in his pocket.
Very nice stay! Hostel situated near a beautyful creek. Very nice staff!! Relaxed athmosphere.
Christian (owner of the hostel) knows how to host. He let you feel like you are at home. His "asado" was just awesome. The location is placed in a very nice area, if you look for calm
I'm giving full marks on location, because you come here only for the location: the middle of nowhere. Of course you can't get conveniently into town, but Chris may well give you a ride and the bus will drop you off at the hostel again. The area is gorgeous and serene, Chris is good fun and very helpful, and you can relax and unwind, or go horseback riding. The mattresses could be replaced and the kitchen isn't well equipped, but you can borrow everything you need from the main kitchen.
Very friendly owner Who knows everything about tours and activities
