Very good option for that money. We had a simple but private room for 10 USD Hostel is 7 minutes walking distance from av.Tulum where u can catch 9.50 MXN bus R-1 to the beach area (Zona Hotelera) and 10 minutes to ADO bus station where you can conveniently reach airport or other places in the country. Hostel is 3-storeyed mansion with a big kitchen on a 2nd floor. Staff friendly but not annoying. Only for those who doesn't seek smth extraordinary. As a real budget place it was good.
Situated in quite enough (for mexicans) area of the Cancun town.
Hostel was extremely basic and a tad run down, but what do you expect for 5 dollars? Bed sheets were nice and clean, and got a nice small 4 bed room for the same price as a dorm. WiFi was excellent and owner was nice. If you have high expectations of fancy facilities look elsewhere
Very cheap hostel, you get what you pay for. Stayed in a private room. Not bad if you are on a budget. Looks a bit old. There is a kitchen and wifi but nothing else.
Sketchy getting there, room was OK. No bed bugs I could find, but otherwise it is a room. Nothing fancy. Nothing special. I am adventurous and questioned my stay there, even considering just leaving for another hotel/hostel. People less adventurous than me might not be so brave to come here.
the hostel needs maintenance. It can be a great hostel, but the owner seems not to care very much about it.
It was ok! Sure, you cannot expect too much cause it's really cheap, but it's pretty close to de bus station and you can eat really good and cheap in Parque de la Palapas, furthermore, the staff was nice.
This was the worst place ever!! We arrived late and we were met by a man that showed us the room. He gave us the key and asked for the money and left. The room had to beds with a hardly working fan. One of the beds had bedbugs and lot of cigarett holes in the cheat. That almost didnt cover the bed! The toilett/shower was dirty almost so bad we didnt go there at all! And it rained in in the hallway! Dont go there! Even if it was cheap it wasnt worth it! I think he had written the rewievs himself!
well u get what u pay for its not horrible or disgusting, but very simple. wifi works, showers work and u have a bed. fair enough though
This place was just dirty and grimy and could really use a deep cleaning to remove the built up scum on the shower door on the 4th floor. Keeping up a hostel in area where mold is rampant is hard work and this place has understandably gotten behind on the deep cleaning. However, for $5 a night, alot can be overlooked.
You get what you pay for here. It's cheap and relaxed, good views from the roof and located on a quiet leafy street across from a park.
The hostel was alright, everything worked as it should - but there's no actual common room, the place is really hard to find, and the termites in the bathroom wasn't the company we were hoping for. But it's a cheap stay, and we had no problems with anything at all.
i literally chose this as the least expensive hostel i could find online. booked it online tentatively for my first nite in town after a late flight in not allowing me to shop around in person for where i'd like to stay. i'd stayed at numerous hostels in the first 4 months of this year in the Méxican state of Oaxaca and Guatemala and Nicaragua as well, and figured i could tough it. and i was right. my second and last night in Cancún i chose to stay this same place with utmost confidence.
