Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting the falls. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. As a group of 4 we had a 10 bed dorm all to ourselves. Wifi, air con, table tennis and available lockers. The atmosphere wasn't great but we were out of peak season. The showers are very cold but overall the hostel was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hostel Katharina. We stayed in a private double room with an ensuite. It is conveniently located and is walking distance to the bus station where you can get the bus to see Iguazu Falls. It's also close to a main road with several restaurants including great Lebanese restaurants. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitrly recommend staying here. It also has a bar located at the front of the hotel but this was quiet when we were staying there.

Good location close to the TTU/Terminal where the buses to the National Park as well as to the airport and international/interregional bus terminal depart. Dorm rooms have no keys and no lockers. Breakfast is not included in the price. There is no shared kitchen in the hostel. Was still a nice place to stay.

Cold rooms and incorrect information about bus times etc. Staff were friendly though and did their best to help.

Really good hostel. Friendly/helpful staff. Great location for getting to the Brasil side of the falls and organise a good trip to the Argentina side too.

great location for the bus to the falls, lots of restaurants close by too, and a big supermarket next to the bus station for stocking up on snacks etc for long bus trips.

Their inability to accommodate credit transactions was inconvenient.

We only stayed for 1 night at a quiet time of year but this hostel ticked all our boxes. The staff were very helpful to point us in the direction for bars, provide information about visiting the waterfalls and book our taxis(including 1 all the way to our hostel in foz do iguacu). They were happy to accept different currencies and even let us off the difference :) nice grounds and pool would be nice when filled in for high season. Perfect location opposite bus station and short walk down to bars

The staff and the hostel was very nice. Quiet when we were there. The heater in the room didn't work we got really cold and couldn't dry our clothes

The Hostel Katharina is an extremely well-located hostel. Across the street is a bus that takes you directly to the (very commercialised) complex surrounding the falls themselves, with a bakery and supermarket nearby as well. Apart from the location, the owner of the hostel was extremely accommodating, happy to show us how to lock up valuables, ready to help us with information, and relaxed with taking payment, as well as very quick to let us in at the early hour we arrived.
