Even though we havent spend much time in the hostel, we loved the character of kokopelli. The paintings ( art work ) on the wall, the lights and roof top bar were great.. The staff were exteremly helpful and polite and they had a tour operator in the hostel which was very handy and we booked our calco canyon and machu pichu tour.wehad à private room which was good to have after à 15 hr flight.the only fault i could find in this hostel was the noise at night because of the 2 bars located below.

Huge lockers, great shower, awsome breakfast, helpfull staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Bar staff are mostly inattentive, as they are volunteers (texting/web surfing instead of working). The rest of the hostel staff are simply amazing. Location is prime, lockers are huge and robust and the included breakfast is delicious. There are two PCs for those who don't have wi-fi devices. Excursion packages are quite expensive.

We only stayed 2 days here but the hostel was really quite good. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast at a cafe around the corner (i got waffles and coffee). the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. One of the showers was probably a bit difficult to make private, but it was ok. might have been overcharged in US dollars, we should have been more careful.

been there very briefly, but it seemed ok for teh money...would reccomend for a brief stay, or a traveler in transit...

It had a good time staying in this hostel. The area Miraflores where this hostel is located is really beautiful and I would definitely recommend to do the bike tour around Lima and Miraflores. Beds are comfortable, shower is hot and the bar upstairs is really nice for having a drink, a pizza and meeting a lot of people.

Kokopelli is awesome. Met some great people there at the rooftop bar. If you want to surf make sure you meet Richard & Ceasar. Entire staff is welcoming and helpful. Really could not have asked for a better stay in Lima. Muchas gracias amigos.

Good hostel and great location... However staff were a bit obnoxious and made a big deal about the booking arrangements made. TIP: Double check your bill.... They charge you a deposit for the room key but dont tell you about it and they didnt reverse the charge - only when we checked it and told them they should reverse it did they. Also nothing against a party hostel (which this one is) - but no quite policy.... noise a bit too much from the bar upstairs everynight at around 5am!!!!!

Very close to all the bars and restaurants. Great place if you want to party, but if you are looking to have a quiet night, then we would not rcecommend it, as the nightclub and the bar upstairs is very noisy until the early hours of the morning. The staff were great and helped us alot with booking buses and recommending a bar and restaurant for my birthday. Overall a great party hostel....would definitely recommend it to any mates.

I think the best way to describe is as more of a bar/club with rooms below. As far as we could tell the majority of other people living there were also working there, had been there for quite some time and didn't go out much. There taxi was late when we arrived at the airport and we paid 45 PEN, This was the hostels pick up service they said it would be cheaper and safer, it wasn't we got a taxi back for 25 PEN and in a safer car!! The luggage storage was an unlocked cupboard. We didn't enjoy it

As a hostel, this place was great. Comfy beds, nice hot showers, fabulous bar upstairs. However be careful when you book tours through these guys. We had a few issues with wrong tickets (which were fixed stonce brought to their attention), and the canyon tour itself seemed to be more aimed at oldies i.e. stopping at every possible trinket stop, no real exertion at all.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hola , Thanks for your stay with us and I'm glad that overall you had a great experience! I want to apologize as we did make a mistake, luckily thanks to you we managed to fix it on time, it's not a common issue though. Even if something would of have gone wrong we would have assumed our responsibility. Just for the record in regards to the colca tour I would like to say a couple of things though: It is a Standard Tour all over Arequipa, independently where you book it. So unless you pay for the 3 days/2 nights tour it will have been the same if you would have booked it in another place. Hope to see you back in Kokopelli in the future! Safe Travels! Koko.
