Overall a great place, great facilities. A little bit of a walk / drive to town or the beach, but still well worth it.

Excellent hostel. The best in the Caribbean.

Location ok if you don't mind walking 15 minutes to the bars, beach and restaurant. If there's enough going, the staff generally take the 4x4 and drop you off which is cool. Nice setting with swimming pool, big kitchen, lounge area, good wifi etc. Free coffee in the morning. Security a bit lax between travellers as there are no lockers to secure your stuff. Bit of a divide between the surfer/kite lodgers who stay for longer and the backpacker staying for a few days. Overall decent hostel.

The best hotel ever. This place made my year. The guests, the staff, the atmosphere, everything was super cool here. Clean, good music, nice people (lot of ron); this combination was amazing. Cabarete is a great place for water sports and for party. If you go to Dominican Republic, this place and this hostel is a must!

This hostel is bad. The only good thing was that it was fairly clean. The staff was never around and when they were they did not help with anything (especially at check out). It is also far away from everything, which would be OK if there was something to do at the hostel. I talked to a lot of people, and no one got their key deposit back as the staff tends to "keep away" when you check out so they can't give back the money. Arranged taxi never came and almost missed the bus as no one could help

I had a great time at the "Castillo" especially because of great and amazing people travelling like me including staff (Mathias and Felix). The landlord is always nice and smiley which is appreciable to see that he lets his staff runs the place supervising only which creates a really nice and peaceful athmosphere! Only problem would be the fridge management as one doesn't work and therefore not so cleaned...place is closer to center and soooooooo peaceful with a pool and wide space for everybody

The hostel is about a 15 minute walk to the beach. The bathrooms were dirty. Staff was friendly.

I had an amazing stay at Laguna Park:) Mati and the rest of the staff are super nice! There was truly a very good vibe during my stay thanks to the friendly people/travelers that were there, so I can clearly recommend this hostel for solo travelers:) Location is a bit far from the beach (15' walk), especially if you come to kite but mototaxis are fast and cheap. I'll keep great memories from it
