Great atmosphere, cool common areas- kitchen, bar, pool table, pool and kite storage. We stayed longer as planned because we felt so comfortable. Organized activities like BBQ which makes it easy to get to know the other people. Totally worth a stay!!!
Staff was very friendly, but the hotel needs remodeling/ manteinance. Bathroom smelled bad, the sheets on the bed had stains, they were bugs in the room (spiders and cockroaches), the pool looked dirty, the kitchen was dirty/rusty and we saw a mice in the backyard pretty close to the pool. We saw sooo much potential in it , cause the facilities were really cool and the people too.

Just a little way from the beach, but more than made up for by the swimming pool and the great atmosphere here. managers happy to arrange tours etc at really good cost. Not often you get to stay in a castle - in the Caribbean!!! Awesome, thanks guys
Safe, friendly people, and a well organised hostel that is full of bright and happy colours. Everything is clean and tidy, the kitchen is well equipped, and the pool is so nice to cool off in. A little way out from the main road and beach (15 minute walk) but there is a regular shuttle service with the hostel and the moto taxis are super easy and cheap to use. It also means no street noise or hearing the beach bars all night long! Definitely recommend staying there to everyone.
This is my 5th time coming back to the castle of Laguna Park and every single time I love it. There are always really cool people, fun activities, its clean and bright, and is located far enough from the party noise to get a good sleep but just a walk away to join the madness at the beach. Always fun and the staff are super friendly and happy to share a rum and a chat :)
Very cool building (built in 2001 by a Dutch guy, so it looks like an old Dutch mansion) with plenty of space and lot's of bang for your buck. It's location is not ideal (20 min. walk from the centre/beach), but it comes with a big kitchen, bar / lounge, swimming pool and even a stone pizza oven! Host Nathalie is very kind and made sure I felt very welcome. I was there in september; low-season meant there was practically no one there. Ow and make sure you bring insect repellant!
