Free wine really encourages people to meet and chat, which was lovely!

Great hostel for Mendoza, excellent advice for activites, events, etc. Cool family feel, complimentary red wine at night and lush outdoor area very nice touch. Dorm rooms are pretty standard. Private rooms are fantastic, especially the Tango room.

Booked a private room (with dingy orange lighting) with a shared bathroom which was separate from the main block and absolutely sweltered with no AC, which apparently the dorms in the main house have. Breakfast was sub-standard, really not worth bothering with. BBQ in the evening was good, free wine each night and people in the hostel were great. The tours recommended by the hostel were good. Seems the best option in Mendoza, cheap rates so you get what you pay for! Dorms better than private?!!

The staff at this hostel are lovely. However,The pool was very dirty when we arrived due to rain, and they took 4 days to clean it - the length of our stay, despite promising it would be ready earlier several times.

There is no better way of discribing the place but to say: WE ARE COMING BACK!!! You just do get the full package (free wine at night, awesome breakfast untill "lunchtime", free repealant, good WiFi, but most important: all the staff and all the other travelers you meet in the backyard!!!) here! And if you get lucky and they have a BBQ or Mike is cooking consider yourself lucky and participate!!! Thank you so much for everything!!!

Hostel staff are really nice people, all of them. they take care of you and always have an answer to any question. A really good place to have a relaxed time by the pool , or have a chat with others in the backyard. The air condition in the room is a plus during a hot Mendoza night. I'll definitively recommend this hostel.

The hostel is small and has a friendly feel which means you really get to know people. The rooms are clean as are the bathrooms (although they could do with better locks). The breakfast was fresh and simpl but really nice. The best thing was the staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. It is a little out of the way of the main strip of restaurants and bars so be mindful of walking around on your own even in the afternoon when most people close up shop.

It's definitely a good hostel especially with regards to comfort, cleanliness and security. A good place to come to after you've been on the road or on a trek for a while. I think the top rating is a little overrated: Neither staff nor atmosphere struck me as extraordinary.

Great hostel, the best I have stayed in whilst travelling in South America. Staff really helpful and friendly, a great place to stay if you speak English as there are heaps of other Europeans. Americans, Canadians, Australians and New Zealanders. Pool is small but does the job in the Mendoza heat, free wine in the evening is always welcome.

Staff are amazing, recommended great tours and gave you the real story (i.e. didn't try to sell you stuff, just gave you the lowdown). Lovely living space, pool was really nice, great vibe (not a party hostel, but there were people to share a pint and a chat every night). The only bad thing I can think to say about the place is that it's got no microwave.

A great hostel with a great atmosphere. One of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. Mike and the staff will take care of whatever you need and point you to great activities in the area. I wish I could have stayed even longer. Highly recommended!

The hostel has a great vibe. My only complaints are that the staff insists on speaking English (even though my traveling partner didn't speak English,) & that the rather large dogs are allowed inside the hostel. I do not mind dogs, but I feel that could be dangerous for someone who is either afraid of dogs or allergic & who did not realize that they would be inside.

A relaxing hostel. Very clean (GREAT showers and bathrooms), with a beautiful backyard to lounge around in, and a little pool. However, be aware it’s far away from the bars at Aristides and its quiet hour by 12pm. Mike is a great guy, and very helpful. 8pm is free wine o’clock and is a nice touch! My feedback to Mike is to tell the housecleaners to take it easy on the aerosol (insecticide?) sprays! After they go through, the whole place smells like kerosene.
