Very charming hostel. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night in SC. The hostel had a little indoor square where a fire could be lit. The night after we left there would be some live music. So we missed that. I would def go back, although the private room was bit small without locker or closet. Location is very good. Be sure to go to bar La Revolucion and Paparazzi Pizza!

An excellent hostel, located just two blocks away from the town center. The staff is very friendly and they create a very good and relaxing atmosphere. Everything is very clean and nice. I truly recommend this hostel.

We had an excellent stay at Las Palomas. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I thought that the kitchen area and fire place added great value for the amount that we paid. We would definitely stay there again the next time that we pass through San Cristobal.

Generally a nice looking hostel. BEWARE of the hidden costs! They charge you for drinking water and even to have your luggage kept in an unlocked staff room when we checked out. Fireplace was a nice touch but he charged extra for wood that was half burnt by previous guests. Also there is no hot water unless you ask for it so it isnt 24 hour. Dont expect much from the breakfast either, stale bread rolls, butter, jam and cereal. Nice dog though :)

the dog was extremely annoying and made the stay very uncomfortable, also the english speaking guy who was at the front desk in the evenings was pretty rude

everything was what you would expect. some things were better than other hostels (they have an out-door fire place), some things were not perfect (one of the showers didn't have hot water... somewhat of a problem in winter if there are a lot of dirty people around). but over all a comfortable and friendly place to stay.

Was one of the best hostels I have stayed in Mexico. The bed was comfy, the shared bathrooms were very clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly (letting me check in at 530am), the courtyard was also very nice and relaxing to sit in. It is not a party hostel but if you want somewhere clean, close to the action, and good value for a private room, then this is it.
