Situated very close to the main bus terminal. The owner was really friendly and helpful. There was a great kitchen to make food and free coffee in the morning. Lovely clean rooms. More of a B&B feel than a buzzing young person's hostel but that is what we were looking for.

hostel laurel was great. it is just around the corner from the main bus terminal and is in the real party of Cancun not the extremely touristy and fake hotel zone. Alex and the other staff were very friendly and super helpful. Alex helped us get the best price for Chichen itza and I don't think he even took a cut. The tour office around the corner, filipe, was by far the cheapest and sell tells to the same tours as everyone else. We really felt comfortable here.

Small hostel with really personal able staff who went out of their way to help us. You pay for what you get though
