Far from the city center and even far from the station (sure u can use tram if you want, but if u decide to walk, it is about 25-30min). At the main door was just number where to call for checkin..first mobil didnt work, then it was OK, we get some broken key so we couldnt leave the gate (meanwhile reception was closed again), so again call for let us go out and another waiting..in the evening heater went off and there was cold inside the room...

We had a pleasant stay, though the staff was never at the hostel. The room was beautiful and clean, and the decoration was cool, but the beer garden was closed. So, if you just want to sleep, it's perfect, but you won't find a fun ambient. There was a tramway stop very close to the hostel, and number 6 takes you straight to the city center, so the location was good too. I would come back.

Some works were taking place in the beer garden, and it was a mistake it was closed on Friday night instead of other weekdays and there were no other common areas. Anyway this is an occassional problem. Everything was good part from that. Card payment could be an important breakthrough.

Nice place. It's quite a distance to get into the center of the city but if you need to go to the main bus station the next morning it is perfect. Room are clean but a bit small. Staff was friendly. Would stay there again.

The staff are excellent, very friendly, and helpful. The rooms and especially the bathrooms are spotless! Really excellent and rare for a hostel in my experience. Great value for money and great location to explore Zagreb from.

I had a great time at the hostel and Marko (the owner) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in every way. I highly recommend it :)

Staff werent overly friendly or helpful. Location was average. The signs displaying everything people couldnt do were off putting and werent welcoming. Having said that the beds and bathrooms were clean and comfortable.

Being given 3 keys but not told what they were for was unhelpful - especially when coming back late and being told off by the security guard for being too loud when trying to work out which key was for the main gate! Other than that a fairly decent hostel, smallish rooms but clean, and nice big pillows!!

Hostel is located in very bad district, about 35 minutes by walk from the main Zagreb square (trg bana Josipa Jelacicia). Rooms are very small, tight, there`s no air conditioning so prepare to sweat. My mattress had a big hole in the middle:) I`m not sure they washed our bedding before. Toilets were ugly - broken mirrors, toilet seat was dirty and sink was out of service:) To be honest I have to say that the woman from the reception desk was very nice;)

Far from the city center which means you have to rely on the trams to get back and forth, however, close to the main bus station. The bathrooms and toilets weren't always in working order. No kitchen. Does the trick for a in expensive place to stay.

Great little hostel, stayed here twice on stop over trips to Zagreb. They organise trips to the Plitvice Lakes but the staff were equally helpful in pointing out alternative ways to get to them if you're on a tight budget. Breakfast very reasonably priced. Easy to find from the tram stop; follow the yellow feet! Would recommend!

In terms of location at this price, this is about as good as you're going to get in Zagreb. The atmosphere was fun, helped by cheap bar prices, even if the 'curfew' is over zealously implemented by hired security. If I were to return to Zagreb (which is unlikely), I would stay here again.

Really liked the style of this hostel, and the lovely beer garden is a perfect place for socializing with other travellers. The one downside is that the bedrooms on the top floor are insanely hot, so much so that i had to soak my towel and sleep under it to cool down. Other than that, great fun place to stay.

- the location of the hostel is not that good. by car we needed more than 15minutes to the city. - close to the hostel we did not find a place to go out at the evening, except for two pubs (unfortunately they closed at 11 pm) + nice place with a biergarden + clean + save + i liked the character of the hostel a lot

An ok hostel but the proliferation of DON'T DO THIS signs and DON'T do that signs are not particularly welcoming. 100 kuna is a *ridiculous* price to pay to do one lot of laundry, I could get it washed and ironed for that in England. In addition, the rooms were very hot but our window opened out onto the communal area where people smoked and talked really noisily into the early hours of the morning.

The flexibility of the hostel rules is very poor which leaves an overall bad impression if you for instance arrive early (then you cannot use showers) or have to go home next morning (We asked the staff to lower the key deposit from 100 KN to 50 so that we would be able to enjoy a beer in the nighttime with our last bit of money. This was not possible in any way). Furthermore, it is not possible to store your luggage at the hostel once you have checked out!

The hostel is excellent. I've travelled around Europe for about a month now and This was BY FAR the Best Hostel I've stayed at. I travel alone but the staff and the people there are so nice and they welcome you with open arms. One of the staff members even went out partying with us one night. There is a great atmosphere there and if you feel lonely, just go to the common area and talk to people, pretty soon after that you'll be drunk, laughing and making new friends. My recommendations. :-)
