The hostel is located in a residential area, i.e. no tourists! It was great. There are a few cafes/restaurants around. The tram station is a 2 minute walk away and the city center is less than a 10 minute ride away. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was decent. The shared bathroom was huge and fairly clean. I would stay here again.

Incredibly helpful staff! Felt very welcome and comfortable. Definitely make an effort to help travelers meet. Clean bathrooms and bedrooms, would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

It is true what other reviews say: The hostel is not in the center of Zagreb. But it is not far to walk, is actually very close to the bus station and there's a tram station nearby with trams going every other minute, so that was a non-issue for us. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the building is decorated quite nicely :). Bathrooms are not actually in your rooms as you have to cross the hall and the water is not running very strong but it was good enough for us. Would go back :)

Wonderful staff, very helpful, friendly and a free breakfast included. Potentially the best atmosphere in a hostel that I have ever stayed in. Location very handy and only a 5 min tram journey to the city centre. Would definitely stay again.

It's probably the best hostel I ever been to! Super cool atmosphere, resonable price, very close to main bus and train station, quiet and clean.

The service was more than excellent! My boyfriend got really sick and they helped us very much. The room was nice and the bar they have is a great place to get to know people.

A great place where the owners greeted us with kindness and good humour. The entire place was spotless. I would highly recommend it!

We only stayed in Hostel Lika for a single night, but we've never felt so welcome at a hostel. The place is homely and the staff are the friendliest you could come across. The Manageress allowed us to use her laptop when we had issues booking our next place of stay for as long as possible. Would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Zagreb!

Functional without being spectacular.

Great little hostel within 10-15 minutes walk from the main bus station, 20-30 minutes walk from Zagreb's centre. Friendly and slightly quirky staff, very helpful. Offered some meals for free in the evenings which was great, but unfortunately we missed them! Anyway, good place!

This hostel had great potential, the rooms were clean, the security was great, the look and feel of the place was good, and it was easy to get to. However, when we first arrived the owner started shouting at another guest and asked him to leave, because he was on eating on the steps, not the best first impression. The place was also covered in signs telling us to do things. The beds also made a horrible night when you move, there was no curtain and the toilet did not lock. Needs improvements.

I forgot my passport and an envelope with money inside a private room when I left and they didn't check the room properly so I lost everything. They didn't help me even to get my passport back. Good hostel but if you have a problem they won't do anything for you

Great hostel! Very friendly and helpful staff. Location a little bit out of centre, but very easy to reach by tram (or even walk) and located in a quiet neighbourhood, so that wasn't a problem at all.

We arrived without Kuna, so they charged us an high exchange rate. When we asked for explanations told us that in our booking it was clearly written that the exchange rate is up to the hostel. True that. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, in our booking it was also written"PRIVATE ENSUITE BATHROOM", when we had an external bathroom that everybody in our stair was using - it was the only one with working lights. First day a girl in the shower, second day somebody used all the toilet paper. What did I pay for???

Owner Comment (Hide)
Dear travelers, well, it does say in our description bathrooms are private but external, you were not reading. Only you had the key and you didnt lock the bathroom, on each floor we also have two more shared bathrooms, in one light was broken for one hour and than was fixed. Exchange rate is different here in Croatia for Euro to Kuna than in some other country, and in your confirmation says that payment is in Croatian Kuna up front, and payment in Euro is only a favor to you. Happy travels

Very close to the bus station and easy enough to find! Facilities are very basic- small bathroom, must pay extra for lockers, don't think there's a kitchen, etc. Apparently breakfast is provided but I left too early for this. Wifi didn't always work.

Easy to find, and approximately 15-20 minutes walk from Main bus station. Tram 6 takes you from hostel to city center in about 10 minutes. Atmosphere is good. Hostel offers trip to Plitvice. A major remark is that our beds were terribly noisy.

Not so close to city center but reachable easily by tram. For the rest everything is ok

This place was actually great! The couple who owns it was so accommodating. The room was small but not too stuffy , at least. They closed the communal room at 11 which kinda sucked because there is only wifi there. But the highlight of our time there was the trip to plitvice; we were only three so the owner agreed to drive us there personally. The plitice park was packed solid so it wasn't very enjoyable, but the swimming in the river afterwards more than made up for it and they gave beer too!

Excellent value for money and the staff is very friendly and helpful and there is a nice social atmosphere. The only criticism we had was the price of beer and food. Its a shame because marco provides a fantastic hang out space but the pricing is prohibitive and you can't drink your own booze... There are cheap places around the corner though so still awesome.

Dear traveler, we are happy if you liked us and the hostel,but- we have a bar and provide you food and drinks. All drinks are in range of prices one to two Euro,BBQ is always fresh prepared, few kinds of meet,vegetable,bread... and we have different prices, small and big meal, four to nine Euro.As every bar and in the world, we also mind if you try to bring in your own drinks,we put lots of effort every day to please everyone and its ok to have the opinion, but realistic one Happy travels
