The hostel is fine. It is a close to some beaches but it is far from the center you need to catch a van into the center which is not hard to do. The hostel staff were not around much which made it hard to organize things like paying your bill. Also there was a really annoying cat that would follow you everywhere.

Nice little family run hostel. Clean rooms, big kitchen, great tv room. 10 minute walk to a beautiful surf beach. Supermarket & shops really close. Catch a van right out the front for $2 to get to the centro & bus stop (5/10 minute drive). Owner gave us a lot of info when we arrived but then there was never really anyone on reception. Also girls shower was cold

Awesome time here. Staff were helpful and so cool. right on one beach, and 10mins from another awesome one. Minibus's come right to the front door and for 2 reals you're in the main party street in no time. Clean, nire air con, and relaxed atmosphere.

I had a great time during my days in Buzios! The hostel is a little bit confusing to find (it does not have any sign around it) but once you get there, the house is very nice and comfortable. Lizandro (the hostel's owner) and his parents are a lovely family, and not to mention to Ms. Aparecida, the cleaning lady in the hostel.. she is the funniest person I found there. Attention is very nice and even considering that Lizandro is not always in the house all works perfectly!

Loved the place. Lizandro is the best. If you're American, ice him when you get there. Once he get's AC in the non-ensuite rooms, it'll be the perfect place to stay. I just hung out with the people who stayed with me during my time there in Rio tonight. Great people, great staff (Lisandro's dad is awesome as well). They speak great english, can tell you the places to go (or even go with you...). Overall, only negative is the heat, and he bought an AC for my room before I left. Loved the place.
