The place is far from main attractions and MAIN TRAIN stops, but very nice neighbourhood. The hostel charged an extra $2 euros per person on top of the fee which I thought was weird because the other hostels I\'ve stayed at in Rome did not have this additional fee.

The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and super knowledgeable about Rome. The locks on the doors are not very good, there was nowhere safe to keep your valuables and they kept your key while you were out. The garden was amazing - perfect for kids to play in. But the metro and bus stops were a long walk for kids. There weren't as many great restaurants nearby as we had hoped. BUT great value for Rome and really great staff. Best cappuccino ever and free breakfast was amazing freshcroissants.

The place is actually not so far away than I thought. It is way easier to go to the sights than to Termini. Lovely and exciting surrounding across the bridge (Via del Pigneto). Only thing though is that the public bathroom in the basement was little bit dark and old. One lightbulb didn't work, and the corners could have been cleaner. Although I tried to suggest it to the staff, the staff only replied"we can't do anything today", and the next 5 days it was still the same.Overall I still liked it

Thanks for the great accomodations Lodi staff. I really enjoyed it all; coffee in the garden in the morning and the city of Rome throughout the day... all really great!

Fantastic staff, friendly and helpful. They gave me a good start in my Europe trip as Rome was my first stop. I love the breakfast, keep it up! I wish I was there to taste the tomatoes planted in the garden when I was there.

A nice hostel in a house in a quiet neighbourhood. It\'s not that far from downtown and easy to go everywhere with buses. We enjoyed having breakfast in the garden. The staff was very helpful and they know very good restaurants nearby.

I really liked this hostel. The staff were very friendly and they told me a lot of things to do in the city. Thank you so much. Just one suggestion: it would be very good if the breakfast time could start a little bit early.

Although the hostel is farther away from the historic centre, it's in a quiet and safe area, filled with students, bars and restaurants and accessible by bus (81, 85, 810). The subway is a 10-15 min walk. The staff is fantastic - accomodating, helpful. The free breakfast was very good. The quad room was large with enough space and the free wifi was strong and reliable. Private bathroom was clean and had everything one would need. Would DEFINITELY recommend this hostel.

Alex is a wonderful host. Great to chat with. Hard to believe he restored the entire B&B himself. Keep up the good work Alex!

Hostel Lodi is wonderful! The staff is so friendly and helpful and really want to get to know you. They make you breakfast every morning and make your beds, and there is a lovely terrace to enjoy. It's clean and small and cute and easy to get to a metro to go to the popular sights of Rome. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, one of the best hostels I've experienced.

Hostel Lodi is a great place to stay in Rome. The breakfast is nice and they are a very helpful staff. You have to walk to the bus stop/metro and then take a quick ride to get to the sights, but if you are planning on walking around all day and have the rome pass for free transportation then staying at Lodi is great.

I LOVED Lodi. My only complaint is that the room I stayed in was on the ground floor and I could hear a lot of noise from the lobby. But the rest of the hostel more than made up for that. You get a lovely and very sweet Italian breakfast that I usually ate in their beautiful garden. The free computer use was very nice. The neighbourhood is out of the city centre but because of this, I was able to have a more authentic, and less expensive, Italian meal than I got in the city.

I had to deal with the theft of my passport and laptop, but the staff was extremely helpful in helping me catch my flight and file a report with the police. The hostel itself is really nice, would definitely recommend it.

The staff are the best I've ever encountered, very helpful with navigating city and transportation prices. When I checked in he carried my bags to my room and made me tea. The beds were pretty comfy for bunk beds and the shower was nice and hot! Breakfast is good if you like pastries and the staff will make you whatever coffee you want. It really was a nice base to explore Rome from. Would definitely stay here again!

Please be more clear on the status of the kitchen. When we first checked in we were told there was an accessible kitchen, but later in our stay I witnessed one of the hosts stopping a group from cooking. There was clearly a sense of miscommunication. Otherwise, I enjoyed the stay and thought the staff was helpful. Facilities were clean, and the computer lounge served its purpose well. Also, I thought the garden in the back was nice and would have occupied it if for better weather.

Was disappointed with the kitchen facilities. Went and bought supplies for dinner & was then informed by staff that the hostel does not have permit for guests to prepare food therefore we could only use microwave & not cooktop. Bed was worst I've slept in, in 7months in Europe. Staff wouldn't accepted Credit card payment. Breakfast was fresh but very sweet and no options. Location was ok.

I'd been there two years ago, and I made a point of going back, because of how nice the staff was. Then I got there, all the staff had changed, but they were exactly as nice and helpful as the ones who were there before. Great people, worth having a chat with, who can give great advice while visiting rome. Beds were very comf., everything was clean and the garden in the back was the perfect place to enjoy a breakfast that is brilliant in its simplicity. Next time in Rome, that's where I'll stay.
