Hostel Lozanni Reviews

Lozanni is a good base for a stay in athens... foremost - it is central to everything in the city and the hostel has the original 'old-world' charm of the Greek hostels. For true value for money it is one of the best and no hype that goes with most of the modern-day hostels. I'd always stay again.

The staff were excellent and we ending up getting a five bed dorm to just the two of us with our own ensuite. However, the floor was so dirty we couldn't walk in bare feet, there was no breakfast as advertised, the hair dryer in the bathroom didn't work and the only plug in the room was accessible by standing on one of the bunks. You get what you pay for. It's not in a great area but we had no issues ourselves, most hostels are not in a very nice area anyway.

It's a very quiet nice hotel. But the bar it's alwys closed.

The hostel is dirty and shabby. It is located at a busy square and thus it is extremely noisy. In the hotel's district all the prostitutes, beggars and dealers are hanging around all the time. however the district can be considered safe. No atrocity happened to me. The hotel is close to a big metro station easy to access everything.

there were cockroaches

It was the worst hostel i have stayed at staff smoking inside very dirty in the showers and the AC did not work. I recommend to any people staying here think twice it is in the heart of the red light district and the ammount of drug addicts around the place was disgusting.

The location of this hostel ruined my Athens experience. The area (Omonia) was full of prostitutes and druggies, and we felt very uncomfortable walking to and from the hostel. We arrived at night, which I would also not recommend. The night man at the desk (Richard) wasn't very good at communicating, but the other employees were more helpful. Richard smoked nonstop, which made the whole hostel smell. The rooms are cheap, but you get what you pay for. We left early. I would not recommend.
