Hostel Majdas is, without a doubt, THE BEST hostel I've stayed at in Europe. I was picked up at the bus station, given a lovely welcome with home made ice tea and cake and beautiful soup for dinner! Majda is the loveliest host - you could not ask for any better. Ask her anything and she'll know the answer! WHEN you go to Mostar there really is no other place to stay. Most importantly - you simply MUST do Bata's tour of Herzegovina. It was the most wonderful day tour! DO IT! Thankyou Majdas team!

There's is nothing to add. Majda's is not actually an hostel, but a place where you feel at home and a real family to be with. It totally moved me their kindness.

Outstanding! Don't even think of staying anywhere else in Mostar. Majda, Bata and the other staff were so welcoming. The free pickup from the bus station, the yummy soup, the delicious snacks for breakfast, the cappuccinos made me want to stay forever. Don't miss Bata's tour, it's the best day I've had in a long time! When I come back to Mostar, I will definitely be staying here.

I LOVED this hostel. It's a real home away from home. Majda and her assistants are just lovely, and make the atmosphere really comfortable & friendly. Coffee and cake upon arrival, Majda's super homemade breakfast "snacks"... fabulous. Super clean, too. The Hercegovina tour is really worth taking (even if Bata can be a bit unnecessarily schoolmasterly in his delivery...). It was one of the highlights of my trip. If you get the chance to stay with Majda, go, go GO!!

This is what a hostel should be like. Majda is a great host and passionate about her city. Atmosphere at hostel was really nice, and ate some great home cooked food. My bus was delayed by over an hour but poor Majda was still there waiting for me to arrive! Thanks for a lovely stay.

This is probably the best hostel I have ever stayed at. From the moment I was picked up from the station until the time I left (with both Majda and Bata there to farewell me) I felt so lucky to have chosen this hostel. They are so warm and welcoming, Majda is the perfect host. It really is like staying at a friend's house, rather than staying at a hostel. The tour exceeded my expectations. Bata is the perfect guide, knowledgeable and passionate about his country.

There is so much to say about my stay here. Within two minutes of my bus arriving I was greeted and given a lift to hostel. Genuinely felt welcomed here. Majda had shared some soup over conversation where other travelers also joined in. Facilities were available at all times including kitchen, wifi showers and bathrooms. Hostel was clean and beds comfy. Close to old town and offers Bata's tour. This tour is phenomenal and gives a taste of Bosnian culture, food and hospitality. I'm coming back

Hostel Majdas is, by far, the BEST hostel I've EVER stayed in! The atmosphere is so homely I didn't want to leave! Seriously, the hostel is cozy, warm and inviting. I will definitely come visit again in the future! Plus, I've learned so much about the history of Bosnia, Herzegovina and Mostar and about what it means to be Bosnian. The hostel has all the important facilities (and more) and is located 5 min walk from the center! You must take the all-day tour offer by the hostel! It was amazing!

Amazing hostel, unbelievably welcoming family run place. Majda was incredibly kind and generous and Batas tour is the best tour I've ever experienced. The hostel is clean with comfortable beds, free internet access and generally great facilities. If you are planning a trip to Bosnia then this hostel is an absolute must! Easily the best place I've stayed yet!

The best hostel I ever stayed so far! Majda felt like my mother. She was that much nice and warm. :) All of her recommendation about what to do and what to eat in the city was so helpful. Worth doing it. ;) Hostel itself is really pretty, well decorated with all kinds of donation from the people who have stayed there before. It is located in 5 min walking distance from the old town, so great location as well! I really miss Majda and her brother Bata already.. I wanna go back some day!

4 of us stayed at Majdas. We are all travelers and have been to over 100 hostels worldwide. We all agreed that Majdas was #1. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. We were greeted with free hot drinks and cake. They were extremely helpful recommending great places to see in the city. We stayed an extra day to take "Bata's Tour". The tour was the one of the best tours any of us had ever been on. Bata's enthusiasm and love for his country are infectious.

Words can't do this hostel and family justice! Some of the nicest people that I have ever met- my entire stay there was amazing! Majda is so unbelievably friendly, offers you breakfast every morning, and makes you feel as if you're completely at home. Bata is hilarious and his TOUR IS A MUST.. really interesting and takes you to places that you would never be able to find otherwise. Extremely clean and safe. The staff is so helpful, I really can't put into words how great this place is! 5 stars.

The hostel is a bit hard to find, but they can at for you at the train/bus station. The place is small and it can get a bit crowded at times, but when something so minor becomes noticeable, you know you have all your major needs covered: safety, comfort, price, location (not the best possible, but within walking distance of everything in town. Majda was a great host, she received me with coffee and lots of information and booklets about the town.

Cozy, funky hotel where guests are treated like family. Spotlessly clean with brand new bathroom and shower facilities, internet, attractive, spacious rooms. Majda is an awesome host, she is so kind and made heroic efforts to help me recover my bank card when I lost it in an ATM. I wish I could have stayed longer! GO ON BATA's TOUR! Bata is the best tour guide ever as well as a SNAG (Sensitive New Age Guy). Just do it! Yes we can!
