Hostel Mancini is very well located for its vicinity to Napoli Centrale and the old center of the city, as well as the port (in case you're boarding for a trip to Capri or the like), and they have the huge benefit of having 24-hour reception. However, the area can be a bit sketchy at night so be careful if you do arrive late. The facilities could be improved (the bunks are a little shaky and not all beds have reading lights), but with a free breakfast, it's well worth the money you're paying.

Very convenient location and comfortable beds.

The rooms only have one key, and you can't hand wash any of your clothes. Breakfast was nice and the staff was very helpful.

The location is close to the train station, but in a pretty dodgy area. The manager basically barked at me about what bags to carry on me to be safe, which is good but also very unsettling.

The hostel is near the train station which is very convenient, but a not so nice area. Security is very good in the hostel. Great that you can use the kitchen. Hostel is clean, sheets smelled clean and lovely. Shower pressure good. No soap in bathroom. Stepping out the hostel doors into this area of Napoli is very intimidating. Saw a woman get her purse snatched.

Great place to stay on a confusing city. The staff were really helpful in helping us get around, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious, the kitchen was well stocked and clean, and there was free wifi in the rooms. The security was really tight (so much so that it was occasionally inconvenient) but great place to stay! Would HIGHLY reccomend it.

Somewhat strange that beverages are not allowed in the fridge ( to buy the drinks from his vending machine at no discount rates).

Thanks for your stay at Hostel Mancini. Fridge is to give guests the service to store and keep food fresh and as you know if you buy and leave 7/8 bottles in the fridge other guests cannot leave their food for the days they have to stay in the Hostel and we give MORE importance to food then drinks just because guests prefer to use our kitchen to save money instead then going to spend much more money for restaurants, if someone wants to have cold drinks there is a nice place next to the Hostel..

It's conveniently close to train and metro, as well as the greatest pizzeria you will ever eat at. The location is a bit rough around the edges, but then so is the entire city. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all great value for money.

I had such a great time in Napoli at Mancini Hostel I can't wait to go back! Stefano and Alfredo were two great guys who taught me alot about Napoli and Italy; the city is truly amazing. As for the hostel is is conveniently located very close to the Central station, has good Wi-fi, clean facilities and breakfast every morning. In terms of atmosphere and "Italian feeling" one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Take care Alfredo and Stefano!

Staff was very friendly and helpfull. We went to Napoli for the game between Napoli and Milan and they helped us to find the metro and the stadion. Good location to, close to The main station of Napoli. That made it very easy to go to pompeii. Next season, I will definitly come back for another Napoli game.

The hostel is close to the central station, situated among a street market, in an old building . At night , when the market is closed the area is littering with rubbish and not much lighting thus it can cause an uneasy or unsafe feeling. If this is important to you then you must consider carefully . in general Napoli central is crowded and a bit chaotic. The reception staffs are friendly.

Had a great time, good young crowd within walking distance of many Naples attractions. Fun events with hostel group such as Sangria night and a hike of Amalfi. Would definitely stay again!

Awesome hostel, great people working there as well!

Staff weren't that friendly, wifi was dodgey, had a cold shower two nights in a row, there were so many rules I felt like I was on school camp.

Hostel Mancini was for me in a strategic location, with an easy walk to local transports to Pompeii and Sorrento. The Manager helped me to visit places I couldn't find by my self and the Brasilian guy also was a great help. My first visit in Naples and for a day only, so for sure I will goback because for what this city can offer on day is not enough at all!!

After having spent three nights in a disastrous place, Hostel Mancini was like heaven. I couldn't believe how clean it was, how friendly the hostel manager and his colleague were and how comfortable the rooms were. I got a map with sightseeing tips that fit my schedule without asking for them and the things that I did ask were even researched if not known already. Best place I ever stayed at!

I stayed at hostel Mancini only for a day, with 3 other friends. We actually went to Vesuvius and Pompeii but stayed at Naples. The hostel is quite clean and has all the facilities you want in a hostel. Rooms are well-equipped. The staff is very nice. However, the only downside is its location. It is located just a block away from the train station, in a very dirty and a not-so-safe neighbourhood (but maybe Napoli is just like that).

On arrival the area seems run down. Its a market area and there can be plenty of rubbish sround. It is, however, no more unsafe than most of Italy and very convenient for catching trains to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento, etc as well as Naples' metro system + is in walking distance of "postcard Naples" without paying that price. Staff were helpful on arrival, including advice on how to do sites independently (not pushing tours, etc). Breakfast is basic, but its a hostel, don't expect too much.
