Very convenient for train access however in a dangerous area of Naples.very helpful staff
the toilet was dirty, napoli is very hot in summer, there is no AC, u have to sleep w windows open, theres lots of noise and insects
great hostel, but the area around isn't really safe, make sure you're not out on your own, especially if you're a girl.
The owner at Hostel Mancini was very nice and accomodating. However the internet didn't work half the time I was there and the guy that works overnight was rude and acted like he'd rather smoke than answer my questions. I also didn't like that you don't get a key to your room; there is only one key, so you have to open your room and then return the key to the front desk. The area is a bit seedy, so it sucks that you have to wait to be buzzed in and don't have a key to just let yourself in.
The wifi was off and on, and the rooms really need to have locks on them - other than that it's nice! The staff are wonderful.
Hostel Mancini was great. Although the rooms and bathroom was pretty average, it was always clean and the staff were very helpful. I arrived to Naples not quite knowing what to do, and we were immediately directed to how best spend our time in Naples. Because of the staff recommendations, we had the best time in Naples .
It was within a k walk from train station, not difficult to find tho'you take your life in your hands getting around and thru the traffic in the square The area is quite filthy and littered beyond belief. Felt safe inside the hostel but wouldn't go . Out alone after dark. It is clean. The atmosphere is bright, colorful, and cheerful. The owner/manager was brusque, a bully when I arrived. He insisted I was in a bad move when I arrived so to stop the lecture I gave up,said you win, you're rig
People would say the location is dodgy, but really what part of Naples isn't dodgy?? The location is great for the train station and very central for getting around Naples. The owner was very friendly and very helpful. But the place needs fans or air conditioning. It was so bloody hot!! I barely slept for the nights I was there.
Super hepfull staff, very close to train station and walk distance from port and bus stations. Only downside is that there is no fan in the rooms, what makes a bit too hot in the summer time..but very good value for money...
I had a great en-suite room, very clean and it was no different from any other hotel rooms. Amazing quality, location and value.
Friendly staff helped with all the questions. Nice and close to everything.
The hostel isn't in the nicest area, but don't let this put you off, the staff are very helpful, and the hostel is very secure. It is convenient to have the hostel this close to the train station.
everyone is always so friendly, at the hotel mancini. napoli is not a dangerous place. hotels staff are very nice people. everything is as you want. the only annoyance is rooms of internet can not be used . Other than that, to sit in the balcony of the room , you can relax. I would recommend this hotel. Thanks .. have a good holiday for new people :)

Street is a bit dodgy but so is the rest of the city, close to the train station so good for a base for day trips
The hostel is located near the train station so it's easy to get to when you arrive but the area is not great and so you have to walk a bit to get to the main sites or get the metro. The staff were really helpful in the hostel and there's a kitchen however it is closed for cleaning for a couple of hours during the day.
The young staff is really helpful and nice. Great hostel.
The area that this hostel is in is extremely sketchy. There is a market out from during the day with men selling fake goods. They hassle you as you walk by. At night I did not even feel comfortable walking down the street. It is close to the train station though which was a plus. Some of the staff was very helpful. Unless you have to stay near the train station I would stay elsewhere.
As alone girl I didn't feel safe to go out alone in that neighborhood. Otherwise nothing to complain about I had a great stay and the staff was very nice!
Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to ask for your help, as I suspect that I might have forgotten some personal belongings in the hostel. It was a plastic sack with some pieces of bijouterie in it: I checked out of the room No. 6 in the morning 08.07.2013. Please would you be so kind to check whether there are any belongings found in the hostel? Thank you in advance, Best regards.
