It would be nice if there is a cover on the toilet for female.

This hostel is very close to the central train station, and not too far away from the historical centre. Breakfast includes toasts with butter, jam, peanut butter and Nutella, coffee/tea and cereal. The common areas are comfortable and staff are friendly enough. Rooms and bathrooms were clean.

Young guy that checked me in was very kind and helpful. After I checked out I went into the kitchen and the woman on reception was very rude when telling me I can't use the kitchen after checkout.

This is a great hostel to stay at if you are doing many day trips to pompei, sorrento, capri, etc. because it's so close to the train station. There was a stroll around the city when I was there where I met a lot of great people. It is clean, but sucks that you have to leave for cleaning. The staffs were helpful but the owner was a bit pushy of his opinions. Breakfast was simple. And the map provided was not so helpful.

Hostel Mancini is in a slightly sketchy area and can be a little bit hard to find, but it's really close to the train station and the staff was really helpful. They suggested places to eat and possible things to see. Most importantly, however, Hostel Mancini is only a 5minute walk away from Pizzeria da Michele (the most famous/best pizza in Napoli)!!

I had a great stay there for 3 nights! It's just a few minutes walk from the train station and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. I'm sorry I missed the walking tour on Wednesday night but I got delayed in Pompei. I made great friends at the hostel. The breakfast is substantial and the rooms are comfy. The neighborhood around train stations are usually a bit sketch but the building is super secure and there's always someone on duty so I felt very safe. I highly recommend it!

Best hostel I've stayed in, family run and owned and the people are just excellent to talk to. So friendly and kind, loved it.

Service was friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but that isn't what we wanted. We had all we needed and the staff were happy to help us find our way around. The area isn't as nice as the hostel, and that can feel a little intimidating, but we wanted to be near the station and we knew to expect that.

Close to station but on a bit of a dodgy street – had to be buzzed inside so felt quite safe. Room was clean but en-suite bathroom dirty and bedroom & bathroom doors had big emergency exit-style push bars to open them, so it was impossible to go in and out quietly – in a 7-bed dorm, this made for a restless night! Guy that checked us in was great – friendly and helpful. There’s lockers in the rooms but you have to buy a lock (€5!) as no regular bag locks would fit on them, which was annoying.

Owner Comment (Show)
We continue to not understand why some people write "dodgy street" an open free market....!! About bathroom....oh well....if after a shower each person will have the kindeness to pass the mop, then next person that goes into the shower will find it clean. We do provide daily cleaning in rooms and bathrooms, but our cleaning person can not follow every single guest that goes into the shower to clean soon after. I think that every single person has to respect all who comes after them and dry the floor with the mop we provide and make the shower spotless as we do avery single day after cleanings!! Door is not emergency as mentioned....but simply a weelchair opening sistem and as avery Hostel do we do have a weelchair room and bathroom with this kind of opening sistem.

Although the area is not very clean and safe, the location near the station is good, and the rooms and kitchen very clean. Good breakfast. The staff is so kind and helpful. They organize a dinner for all the people in the hostel and a free mini tour in the historic centre at night. Great people, absolutely recommendable! Limpio, buena localización, amabilísimos, excelente relación calidad/precio

Could not recommend anywhere better to stay if you are staying in Naples. It's a family run business and is just what we needed,100% clean, security was amazing too, dorms are on the other side of the hall and you need to buzzed in, so double security. The gentleman who runs this place is outstanding, he gave us all the info we needed to get round naples and the surrounding areas, even gave us a lift to a pizzeria after he finished work cause it was raining. Will recommend this place to anyone.

I loved this hostel, super clean, nice breakfast, great staff. One problem is that it is very hard to get a strong wifi signal on the rooms, this should be improved.

Easy to find. Very close to the train station. Tipical Italian (sweet) beakfast included. Bunk beds. There are lockers in the rooms, but not big enough to fit a backpack in it and you need padlocks with long neck to can use them. Anyway they sell you one for 5 EUR. Good thing that the dormitories are in an another wing from the common areas, where you can have a good night sleep.

I really enjoyed my stay at his hostel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpfull and would tell me the best way to go about my days in Naples and surrounds. I did a free walking tour as well which was great and I also loved the free breakfast, although simple, it still is very handy. I would most surely stay here again.

If you're looking for a cheap place to crash, this hostel is sufficient. The neighborhood is certainly not ideal (we felt really unsafe leaving early in the morning, so we took a cab), but it is close to the train station. The bathrooms were dirty and you have to pay for a towel (1,50 euro) and a lock for the lockers (5 euro), but the beds and sheets were clean.

You have to know that it is never nice to hear from someone that lockers with key are not secure...we provide the opportunity for travelors to buy a padlock (if they do not already have one) so that their belongings are more secure. About towel for dorms it is common for hostels to rent out towels to travelors who choose to not bring one. Unlike many hostels, we give you your sheets for free!! We, at Hostel Mancini try to provide the best service possible inside our walls. Unfortunately we cannot control the surrounding areas. The convenience of being near the train station and bus station, and port, usually comes with a less beautiful/comfortable neighborhood. However, Naples is no more dangerous than Rome, NY, Paris or London, and as long as you are an intelligent travellor, you should not have any problems. I hope the rest of your trip is filled with fun and safety!
