Highly recommend staying at Mandala - the owners and all of the staff are very friendly / helpful. Great atmosphere with a very chilled out vibe. The rooms are really nice and have balconies that all offer excellent views of the beautiful area. We enjoyed our time for 4 nights and it was a shame to leave!
Hostel Mandala was a great place to stay in El Bolson. At first it seemed a far walk out of town but once you get there you appreciate the tranquility and beautiful mountain backdrop. The owners are amazing, and the hostel itself is really comfortable with great facilities. They went out of their way to help us when we realised we left our passports in Bariloche, saving us both time and money. I highly recommend this hostel... And make sure you do the kayak day trip!
This is an amazing hostel. The owner, Alejandro, is extremely friendly and welcoming. He speaks very good English but was also happy to help me practice my terrible Spanish. The photos don't do the hostel justice, it's really beautiful. Everything was kept very clean. The atmosphere was very chilled out. The location is a bit out of the centre of town but it's definitely walkable and it's a nice walk. Perhaps my only concern was that doing washing was very expensive. Overall highly recommended!
A lovely, genuine and interesting host who provides home made beer / pizza (and will gladly tell you the process for this). A great option for el bolson, very highly recommended
Amazing little hostel, feels like a home. The owners are lovely people and very willing to help. You can walk into town in 15 minutes and there are some nice walking trails around the hostel. Would definitely come back again. Great place if you're looking to relax.

This is a really special hostel. It's certainly a bit far if you don't have a car, but if you dont mind a little walking, it's totally worth it. Everything about the place has been carefully thought through. Amazing!
Wonderful hostel and amazing staff. Alejandro and Adriana are incredibly friendly, willing to help and easy to talk to. Excellent facilities: very clean, large kitchen, consistent wifi and hot showers. A bit of a walk into town, but not a problem if you enjoy the mountain scenery. Would highly recommend.
Really enjoyed our stay at Mandala, Giovanna was a brilliant host, friendly, helpful, thoughtful and welcoming! We would stay again. Nice and peaceful with clean facilities, good wifi, and a excellent breakfast including local handmade jams.
One of the best hostels i've stayed in. The hostel is not downtown but actually for me this is better because it has better surroundings, closer to nature. I've stayed for 8 nights and definitively would come back, had a great time at the hostel.
I loved it, a really clean new hostel. The owners are very friendly and helpfull.
Hostel Mandala is incredible, by the far the friendliest, cleanest and most comfortable hostel I´ve known. One complaint is the distance fromk town and the lack of young people, but it´s easy to hang out all night in the comfortable hostel.
Best hostel so far in Argentina - very kind and helpful staff. It is a bit far from town, but whoever go to El Bolson should especially do it for the surroundings and the walks in the mountains - being outside town is in that case an advantage! Just GO!
VERY nice hostal, however its a far way from the center (don't even think about walking it with your luggage from the bus terminal) which doesn't show so clear on the hostal's page. The house is new and in perfect shape, the kitchen outstanding and the staff very friendly. If you don't mind taking a cab to town and back (cheap, 13 AR$), this is where you want to stay!
One of the best hostels we've stayed in in argentina! Lovely staff, excellent kitchen, everything is clean and they even have floor heating in the rooms! A big plus after a cold walk in the mountains. Only downside as mentioned by others: it's far (20 min) from the center on a boring road, too far to walk with your backpack, but a remise only costs 13 pesos and it's very doable without backpack. We'd do it again without hesitating.
The hostel is quite nice and seems very new. Dorms are great and bathrooms are very good and clean. There was noone staying there except one other girl when I was there. Warning: Don't believe their directions, this place is a hike out of town on a long and dusty dirt road. There are buses which run every hour but the staff don't seem to know exactly from where and you just gotta show up and potentially wait an hour. It's all colectivos and taxis. Good breakfast and nice downstairs area.
Clean and new hostel. comfortable beds in large rooms. Large kitchen and well equipped.
Clean hostel, a bit far away from the center
Excellent hostel, with extremely friendly staff, rooms are modern, cozy and comfortable, good facilities. It is not in the center of El Bolson (about half an hour walk) but on the other hand you have the views and feel like you're in the countryside. I wish I had the time to stay more, I really enjoyed it.
We loved every minute at your wonderfull place and wish we had more time to spend there. Hugs, Ayelet & Tal from Israel
One of the (or even the) best Hostals we had in Patagonia. The lovely owners take very good care of the people and invite you to stay longer with their magnificant breakfast. All service available from laundry to Wifi/TV/movies etc. For the arrival/departure you need a cab (12Pesos) without lugagge you can easily walk. It is highly recommandable!
