This is a very nice hostel BUT it is very far out of the town. To town the bus takes about 30 minutes, and is not frequent (there are 1 or 2 per hour). The directions from the bus station are impossible to follow, meaning you will have to take a taxi. However... staff are very nice, and they also make homemade cake and other nice things. You can use the washing machine for free, and there is a nice chilled out atmosphere. If it was close to town this place would be great...

The hostel is run by a very nice couple who really make you feel at home and part of their family. Our room was very large, comfortable and clean. The only negative is the location as it's far from town. Be prepared to get a taxi on arrival.

We felt very comfortable and at home at joes and Gisellis manga rosa hostel! The house is big with good facilities and nice hammocks in which you can chill on a lazy afternoon. Joe and Giselli are always there to answer questions. And they even cooked for us one night. Hostel is also close to itaipu dam. Joe also drove us to the Argentinian side of the waterfalls and made a good price for the trip. We enjoyed the wide variety of DVDs joe has and would def recommend the place to everybody.

Lovely service thank you

Very comfortable hostel, ran by a lovely couple who make you feel completely at home. Space in our dorm room limited but the communal areas were large and comfy. Very clean throughout, bar and swimming pool area still in progress so didn't sit out there much. Very helpful and knowledgable owners who were very willing to make sure you have a good time. Good place to stay, good showers, free lockers but it is quite a way out of town so be prepared for bus or taxi rides to gt anywhere. Good place

Best BBQ even after 3 weeks in Brazil! Have to catch two buses to falls and Argentinian border but it is very close to the Itaipu dam and the owners always give you good directions.

OK, the only thing you could possibly fault with this hostel is it's location - it's NOT in downtown, but then you need to ask yourself why do i need to be downtown in Foz Do Iguacu??? You don't. This place feels like staying at a friends house rather than a hostel. The couple running the place are awesome and full of information about Brasil and anything else you might want to know. We watched some cool films, had a few beers and shared a dinner together. Really nice experience!

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay at hostel Manga Rosa. It felt like you were a house guest at Joe 's home and he went out of his way to make us feel at home and ensured that we had everything and information we might need. One night, he drove us to a restaurant since the restaurant was far away and also lent us money to pay for the meal when our credit cards didn't work. Great facilities with hot showers, inviting family atmosphere, and two of the cutest dogs ever! One of the best hostels

Very nice hostel. The owners were very helpful when it was time to plan our activities and transportation. It's a little bit far from town but the owners were always helping us to find rides at cheap prices to go to the falls and find good restaurants near the hostel. The place was very clean and the bed very comfy. We had a very pleasant stay!

It was a really nice stay in "Hostel Manga Rosa" if I come back to Foz one time I´m sure I will book it again. The host prepared traditional food from the south for us and we ate together. Thanks for everything

Nice hostel, friendly staff who offered lifts, sorted trips and cooked us dinner. A bit far out of town though.

Staying at this hostel was like staying with friends and family. Joe and Giselli were awesome hosts and made us feel so welcome, cooking us food, including us in Joe's birthday party BBQ and offering to drive us over the border so we wouldnt have to catch a taxi at night. Deliciously comfy beds, great tourist advice and lovely hosts. You should stay here!

This is one of the nicest hostels you will ever stay in. We traveled from Peru to Brazil via Chile and Argentina and this was the best hostel. It's clean, comfortable and friendly. The owners are amazing and will do anything to help you. They really invite you to be a part of their hostel and enjoy the Brazilian lifestyle in Foz do Iguazu. The BBQ's are delicious!

We had a very enjoyable and memorable time with Joe and Giselli, who were warm and welcoming hosts for our stay. They were so helpful with advice on how best to visit Iguacu Falls and Giselli gave us a lift over the Argentinian border to the national park. A family atmosphere, with comfy beds and warm showers. We enjoyed Joe's home-cooked food and the chilled out patio garden!

I stayed at Hostel Manga Rosa for just 2 days. But I felt I visited an old friend. The owner is very kind and lots of fun. If I go to foz do iguaçu again, I will go to this hostel again.

I had an absolutely incredible time at Hostel Manga Rosa and don't think that I will have as good an experience at any other hostel. It was truely the best!!! They offer excellent deals on lifts to and from the Falls and the airport. There is a convenient bus service that goes to the centre very near the hostel. The whole house is very clean and the showers were warm. Joe was also a great cook and made fantastic meals. Joe has a huge movie collection so you will always be entertained

Have a great time here!...

The place is really far, so the staff is helpfull if they wanna keep their clients, to access the bus it's also very far, so you will spend a lot of money to get anywhere by private transport and shuttles. I found a used condom on the bed, the shower looks clean, but the water is ultra cold. And specially if you come during the winter, you would like to have a warm place, but this place was freezing and there was no heating. Not many shops, not many restaurants, no ATM around.

If you want to see the falls, this is a great place to stay. Prioritize what and where you want to spend your time while in Brazil. In my opinion Iguazu was far too built up by the travel books. The city itself is not the easiest to get to either. That said-come if it is a priority and stay here. Otherwise there are far more beautiful places in Brazil. The staff is incredible for the cards that have been dealt to them.

Muito bom hostel :) Its actually more like a home than a hostel due to the warm hospitality of the owners, Joa
